Greetings, fellow F&B fans! Sorry we haven't managed to do the usual WTF Wednesday posts in the lead up to this season - this Mod cites RL as rudely getting in the way of fandom... :o( But now that we're less than three weeks away from the double-length season premiere (double squee!), I thought I'd post some spoilery news and pictures, for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing.

I can't remember if it was ever posted here, but Breckin did a brilliant podcast here where he talked about a million things, including some thirty day plan thing he was on to get in shape. As much as I think he was probably a beautiful shape beforehand anyway, that seems to have very much worked for him, doesn't it.

The only other season 3 news we've had is that episode one is called 'Coffee And Cream', which doesn't give much away, and that Colleen is definitely coming back and is going to be accused of prostitution. I love her.

Hi all! Sorry it's been kind of quiet around here for a few weeks since the season finished. We're still in a bit of a limbo, because F&B hasn't apparently been truly cancelled, but it hasn't been renewed yet either.

TNT did email me the other day with a long list of shows they'd renewed and F&B very much wasn't on that, which was kind of gutting. But everything anyone is saying on the internet is suggesting it *should* still get renewed and they might just be arguing between production teams and the network or something? It had good ratings, and inside sources hinted that it would be okay, and . . . I'm clinging to tiny hopes to be honest.

In place of any actual news I thought I'd do us a round up of bits and pieces, in case anyone is still out there in lj land. Although really not that much has been happening:

First bit of news is that hope_calaris is departing as mod, lots of love and thanks to her for everything over the last year ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

~ 2oz Raspberry Vodka
~ 2oz Peach Schnapps
~ Lime Margarita Mix
~ 1oz Sprite

Okay, so there has been precious little F&B activity in recent weeks. I can only assume that this is because they're gearing up for the promotional tour, which appears to start at the end of this week. I have my fingers crossed for all manner of shenanigans, plus the photographic evidence to back up said shenanigans. They're going to be in Las Vegas, for crying out loud - I'm pretty sure that has RPS written all over it! ;o)

It was Breckin's birthday on May 7th, and although there was no birthday tweet for him from MPG (dude, what's that all about?) there was a very nice picture posted by Seth Green:

I like to think that this was the first stage of him being gift wrapped for my birthday. I'm still waiting for that delivery, btw...

They've also released (most of) the episode titles for Season 2 - they're hiding under the cut for people who are avoiding spoilers in all their forms.

I am officially VERY excited by the title of episode 2.04 alone...!

Finally, because I had to have a wisdom tooth removed on Monday, which left me feeling very sorry for myself, I decided to have a little re-watch of some Season 1 (because nothing takes your mind off the gaping hole in your head like some epic bromance). This got me thinking about all the reasons why I love the show so much, which produced a list that looked a little something like this:

1) Breckin Meyer.
2) The way that Peter and Jared look at each other.
3) The fact that the Man Cave has a hot tub.
4) Breckin Meyer's smile.
5)The fact that all of Peter and Jared's arguments are about Janie and Jared's dad.
6) The epicness that is Malcolm McDowall.
7) Breckin Meyer.
8) The fabulous dialogue.

Yeah, there may have been codeine involved...! But taking the most sensible point in that list (number 8, in case anyone was wondering!) what are some of your favourite quotes from Season 1? The lines that make you laugh like a loon? The little throwaway lines that can be spun into fic? I've chucked in a few of my favourites to get the ball rolling...

Ingredients:
~ 30ml Disaronno Amaretto
~ 15ml Chambord
~ 15ml Mozart Gold Chocolate
~ 60ml cream
~ chocolate syrup

Instructions:
Shake all of the ingredients together, then strain into a brandy balloon topped off with garnishes of chocolate wafer and flake shavings.

I don't know if you can get Wagon Wheels in the US, but here in the UK, they're a round biscuit topped with marshmallow and covered with chocolate. I'm not keen on them myself as I don't like marshmallow, but apparently people complain a lot that the biscuits have got smaller over the years. But that's the British for you, we could complain about anything, even biscuits!

Anyway, on to less biscuity things... Well, apparently Mark-Paul is as keen to see a naked Breckin as the rest of us. Make of that what you will:

Aaaaaa, hello. It's April. April is hardly ANY months away from Season 2. It's really almost now.

I've been a bit absent from internet for the past week or so, which is why I've been terrible at commenting, and I might easily have missed stuff, but F&B are just all over the internet this week, so let's try it:

Firstly MPG and Breckin hosted the college tv awards, GOD BLESS THEM. There was one brilliant tweet that said, "Gonna put some Franklin up in this Bash", which made me go 'huh what wait, what?' when MPG retweeted it. That was nice.

Some of those are just reading out who people are, some are pretending to be drunk. I don't know how well they were going down, or if people knew who they were? Do college students still care about Clueless? Or even SBTB? Why isn't the whole audience just screaming with love for them? I don't know. Anyway. They might show up other times as well, I've not had a chance to watch all of it but those were the ones I noticed.

I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM. I love "Jared Franklin, Attorney." "Peter Bash, At Law." They make the worst things just sound LOVELY. Also they are BEAUTIFUL.

Have you ever wondered what a well greased dwarf would taste like? Well wonder no more!

Ingredients:

2/3 oz creme de cacao
2/3 oz sambuca
2/3 oz Bailey's® Irish cream

Directions:

Layer the ingredients in the order they are listed in a pony glass. The sambuca should be chilled first to layer more easily.

It looks to be quite hilarious! :D

MPG has been posting cycling things for all of you people who choose to be disgustingly healthy and fit and live longer lives than those of us who are allergic to perspiration and hard work. Those of you who are in California should probably go join him on the Wolf Pack Hustle....and tell him how much we love him....feel free to awkwardly hug him on behalf of the creepy fans who can't make it there.... :P

Reed Diamond is apparently ticklish in "The usual spots." I'm not sure which one of you asked him, but I already love you forever. Although, the chances of me meeting him and being able to behave "appropriately" are decreasing exponentially even as we speak...

Moving on! In less creepy news, Malcom McDowell was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star by his old school buddy Gary Oldman. Here is the not at all creeper-ish picture taken by MPG.

I swear I've seen prettier pictures floating around somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find them now...

February cheated and had fiiiiive wednesdays, for which we are ill-prepared. So we're late. Let's not care.

Today is Mark-Paul Gosselaar's birthday, so birthday drinks for him. To make a Berri Bacardi you mix equal parts rum and raspberry liqueur, top up with apple juice, garnish with strawberries, a dash of strawberry syrup and a dash of grenadine. Mmm.

He's 38 today. Which means Peter might be 34. Or 36. Or some other random age the writers have picked this week. And actually I think all the age clues come from Jared, and we're only assuming they're the same age because we all fostered beliefs that they'd been to school together and stuff. Peter might be ANY AGE AT ALL. But MPG is 38.

I can't find it anywhere now. *shame* I can't even remember where I saw the link to it and it's disappeared from my history and I'm kind of sure I didn't imagine it, but google doesn't know what I'm talking about. It was a trailer for all of tnt's summer season, not just franklin and bash, but they were in there. Can someone more organised than me let me have a link? Found it:

My name is Bug and I will be your new end-of-the-month WTF Wednesday well-wisher...I'm not sure if that's the official title or not, but I'm willing to pretend it is, if you are. :-P

Let's get our drink on!

Ingredients:
1/3 oz Jose Cuervo® gold tequila
1/3 oz Seagram's® 7 whisky
1/3 oz amaretto almond liqueur

Instructions:

Curevo first, then Seven, topping off with Amaretto with a lime garnish. Slam the shot, then bite the lime. Yumma yumma! Careful though, these will sneak up on you.

I'll be totally honest, I only picked it for the awesome name. I drink very, very rarely and have no idea if this is actually "yumma yumma" or not. But Windowlicker! How awesome of a name is that?

On to more important things!

When last we checked in with our heroes, Franklin and Bash had just finished wrapping. ...It's still finished. Sadly, The Powers That Be have not decided to suddenly change their minds and film another eight years worth of episodes just because they can. Presumably there was some talk of "lives outside of filming" and "budgets" and "dear heavens have mercy, I miss my family!" But I could be wrong.

Here, have a picture that serves a heavy-handed metaphor for the vacancies in our souls right now:

Feel free to speculate why there's a Buddha sitting behind Breckin's chair. Symbolic of his zen personality? Representative of his upcoming ascension to a higher being?

Also, for those of you who don't ~~stalk~~ follow the twitters of our beloved cast, apparently, Breckin Meyer's new best friend is David Copperfield (the magician -- TV meets real life???), Kumail Nanjiani is doing stand-up all across the US (sorry, non-Americans), and everyone else is being suitably witty and/or low profile.

How are we all coping with the fact that we are FINALLY getting season 2...in a matter of months? Which shows are we watching now in a desperate attempt to fill the empty hole in our lives that is F&B? Hello! ~~I have no new pictures from the set, because they apparently spilt all their awesome last week.~~

I told a lie, because I wrote this post hours ago, and then didn't check, but there are new things!
