Franklin & Bash

First of all, I've seen this Fic Fest being pimped on my flist, and thought it might be ideal for some of our F&B writers and readers to check out for inspiration: badsexfest! Because you just know that Peter and Jared have had some complete disasters...!

It's a multi-fandom fest, so not all of the prompts are generic enough for our fandom, but there are some brilliant prompts that might just give some of you an idea to work with. And if there're any that you'd like to see filled for Franklin & Bash, feel free to add the prompts to our own kink meme.

Secondly, Breckin and Mark-Paul have been doing some lovely interviews and promotional stuff for the new season. As well as being nice enough to touch each other lovingly on E!'s 'Fashion Police', they did this gorgeous interview for Starry Mag. I've reproduced it in it's entirety under the cut, so a) you don't even have to click on the link, and b) we will have it preserved for posterity... ;o)

Greetings, fellow F&B fans! Sorry we haven't managed to do the usual WTF Wednesday posts in the lead up to this season - this Mod cites RL as rudely getting in the way of fandom... :o( But now that we're less than three weeks away from the double-length season premiere (double squee!), I thought I'd post some spoilery news and pictures, for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing.

Ingredients:
~ 30ml Disaronno Amaretto
~ 15ml Chambord
~ 15ml Mozart Gold Chocolate
~ 60ml cream
~ chocolate syrup

Instructions:
Shake all of the ingredients together, then strain into a brandy balloon topped off with garnishes of chocolate wafer and flake shavings.

I don't know if you can get Wagon Wheels in the US, but here in the UK, they're a round biscuit topped with marshmallow and covered with chocolate. I'm not keen on them myself as I don't like marshmallow, but apparently people complain a lot that the biscuits have got smaller over the years. But that's the British for you, we could complain about anything, even biscuits!

Anyway, on to less biscuity things... Well, apparently Mark-Paul is as keen to see a naked Breckin as the rest of us. Make of that what you will:

Mark-Paul was also nice enough to retweet some promo pics and spoilery stuff on upcoming plots and guest stars, bits of which I have put under the cut for those people who are avoiding that sort of thing.

Finally, in an attempt to kick-start those creative juices, I had a fun meme come up on my flist the other day, involving loads of questions about 'firsts', and it got me thinking - If the Infeld & Daniels team had a go at answering these questions, what would they say? So I've adapted some of the questions, and if you have any thoughts on what Damien's first concert was, or who was the first person to text Carmen this morning, let us know in the comments. They don't have to be long thoughts, but who knows - it might just spark an idea for someone...

It's Wednesday... It's [insert your local time here] o'clock... It must be time for a drink - break out the parasols and the novelty cocktail stirrers!

Ingredients:
~ 1 oz white rum
~ 1 oz gold rum
~ 1 oz dark rum
~ 1 tsp 151 Rum
~ ½ oz apricot brandy
~ 2 oz orange juice
~ 1 oz pineapple juice
~ 1 oz lime juice
~ 1 tsp sugar

Instructions:
In a blender, combine all the ingredients (except the 151 Rum) with crushed ice. Blend at a high speed until smooth and pour into a Collins glass. Float the 151 Rum on the top and garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.

After that much deserved drink, I hope you're all having a splendid week. It's just under 11 weeks to go until June 5th - the all important, much anticipated and finally announced air date for Season 2, so it's starting to look more like a light at the end of the tunnel, rather than a mirage of F&B goodness that we'll never ever reach! [does the dance of joy]

I hope everyone's seen the latest sneaky peek from Season 2, in the form of a message to us F&B fans from the cast (and yes, I do like to think that they're speaking directly to this community!) If you haven't yet seen it in all its glory, go HERE and prepare to flail at mentions of Breckin's not-quite-nekkidness and the idea of Peter and Jared getting even closer!

I did plan to have things to say. Constructive things. With activities and everything. Instead, I have a sore throat, hacking cough and head full of cotton wool, so the things will have to wait until next time... In lieu of the things, I will leave you with some screen caps from one of Breckin's sitcoms, 'Married To The Kellys', which will be ideal for people like me who have reached the stage of only being able to stare at pretty pictures and smile vaguely at a fixed point in the distance. (Apologies for the poor quality - unfortunately, that's what you get when you find a copy of a 10 year old sitcom that was pulled off some guy's TiVo!)
