You know, I was pulling a face :/ when they had Swatello be the more serious one. It would have been perfect if they'd have done it the other way around. That was sloppy and lazy and so predictable - bad form writers, 0/10, would not recommend. I'm thinking that maybe they're going to go for Jared's increasingly desperate ways to try and get Swatello back? I really do want them to work out, but not at the expense of Swatello being well, Swatello
Creepy Dan does seem to have a bit of a thing for Jared doesn't he? Can't really blame him though...
High school continuity!! I'm so very happy that they seem to have a show bible now - or they've read our notes. Maybe a bit of both. Also, they have to have a tragic HS experience, Leonard SPLIT THEM UP.
Pretending to be a couple \o/ - they so would be make awesome co dads, embarrassing and over protective and supportive and very much love the fact that even though the kids know the story of the summer Dad and Pop were ten and how they've been together longer than they haven't, they still think they can pull one over on them and it becomes a challenge to see who can.
I really rather loved Peter handing over closing argument to Jared with the word 'wood' and having his briefcase on his lap. Jared is such an understanding BF.
The Woodrow/Bernstein/Deep Throat thing was a bit odd, I mean I though everyone knew about that.
In conclusion - our show continues to love us very much.
Yeah, I'm wondering if they're going to continue with the Swatello thing like you said or if they're just going to drop it, because Peter did seem really into reminding Jared that Ellen dumped him and Jared seemed to be trying to accept that, so I dunno... maybe they found out that writing a relationship was hard so they decided to bail by setting it on fire. Ugh.
I love that the show has really boned up on their continuity. I do hope that we've helped.
Leonard so totally split them up! I'm sure he noticed how weirdly close Jared and Peter were during grade school (and Peter not exactly being the kind of friend Leonard probably wanted Jared to have) and thought sending Jared to a different high school would work. And there was probably a big fight about it. And someone probably cried. It's was probably all very Romeo and Juliet-esque.

And they roll their eyes every time Peter and Jared start to tell the story. And then roll their eyes more at how ridic their fathers are. Like it was cute when their kids were, you know, kids, but it's kind of embarrassing when they're teenagers.
'wood' was so perfect. And 'should I get some clam chowder' was an adorable response to it.
