Date: 2014-09-18 08:00 am (UTC)Suddenly Damien's not a dick again! Because character continuity means nothing. But it was so nice, because Infeld was lovely about him and Damien was so sad about the tax forms which smelt of fish, and he handed in his notice the moment he knew Stanton wanted him back! And I slashed them quite hard this episode. Also Peter and Jared loved him and he was all beautiful with sensible hair and eyes. And slightly racist about Anita but she loved him anyway and wore eyeliner for him. Then Colleen was all one sided about apologies which wasn't fair, and Infeld was all one sided about insults.
Jared held Peter's hand when Colleen said she wouldn't charge Damien. And Peter told him to do a bit less imagining when he was imagining her pole dancing. And then he ignored Peter in a drinking contest, because Peter said he was a bit rubbish and I think that's why I'm over emotioning about Colleen because he did it while HAVING A SADNESS WITH PETER which Peter hadn't even noticed. And I suppose makes sense and is obvious but somehow it made me all 2iuowieursl. Also there's a clip in that preview vid remix thing where Jared pours her wine and says she should stay the night, and I don't get how that's going to fit in with things unless it's an ongoing thing and I can't deal with that. Also I can't deal with anything.
I can deal with Peter on a pole. I could deal with that all day. Also flat on the floor when he fell off the pole. I could cope. He's stunningly beautiful I adore his face, I love his everything.
JARED WAS A DUKE. I forgot that. He's a duke, and he got all defensive about his commoner friend, and present me is the cutest thing he has EVER SAID and they should totally roleplay about Jared taking advantage of his commoner.
The puppets were a bit nothingy and went nowhere, and Jared would have had so much more fun with a puppet of himself than he did, only they didn't really have time because everything was happening in this episode. But when the guy was putting them both on he sort of made them kiss for a bit, which is what I was looking for in puppets of Peter and Jared so yes.
Also Jared said how there had been four women here a moment ago and now it was just the two of them and Peter was all 'want a hot tub?' in a 'want a blowjob?' kind of voice.

Date: 2014-09-18 08:55 am (UTC)The swings they make with Damien boggle the mind. But. Perhaps it's because he felt wanted? Like is that all Damien ever wants? To be genuinely wanted by other people? Even if it's people like Jared and Peter? Was he completely unwanted by people in the other firm? Did they not invite him out for drinks and did they make fun of him behind his back? This inconsistent writing makes me have too many tragic Damien feels.
But, oh, Damien and well filled out his tax forms. (I think him being good at paper work is my fav bit of continuity with him) And looking so sweet at Stanton. Like he was actually happy about something. ... there go those tragic feelings again.
I was so happy that they called out his weird racist name stuff.
I can't believe Damien basically went crying to Peter's mom. Because you know that's the kind of stuff he pulled when he was a kid. Probably with Stanton too. Like all wibbly eyed 'they were being mean to me' and then sticking his tongue out when the adults weren't looking.

Jared was the best Duke. And that him and Peter wore kilts even though Jared was coming out as the Duke. There was so much role playing about all that I'm sure, yes.
Omg, yes. 'want a hot tub?' was so in a 'want a blowjob?' kind of voice... how could Jared have said no? Peter was so willing.
Peter on the pole was great. Peter falling was great. Peter realizing that pole dancing is really difficult was great.

Damien and the scottish guy thinking that they new each other because the actors played brothers on Journeyman.
Jared catching a fish and yelling "fish on!". (and though I'm sure it happens on other shows, I'm going to elect to assume that that means they watch River Monsters and talk about how the river monster of the week is bigger than Jared and how it could probably swallow him whole) And then wants to make Peter clean the fish. Even though Peter doesn't like the look of fish.
Anita being adorable and apparently co-chairing with Jared on the scottish guy's case even though Peter said that he worked on it too, but wasn't there for the verdict. Anita being weirdly into Damien.
I wonder what's going to happen with Ellen. Are we just never going to see her again? Esp since Colleen was all 'you can find someone else'.
Jared went for the butt tap this time with Damien. And said 'I hate to see you go but I love to watch you leave.' I accidentally ship them.
Damien also said 'Bash and Franklin' again. Which means I ship them ot3 style too.
Jared's smile when Anita asked him if he wanted to be a duke.

And he's so good about it and Stanton said it made sense of him which I like despite not totally knowing how he meant. And Jared kind of made fun of him slightly which was sad, ESPECIALLY considering that later he was going to betray everything about their friendship and love.
I sort of assumed Jared was there for that party but I don't know. I was going to say it could be quite sweet either way round, either with Jared being there being sympathetic and encouraging people to LOVE Peter, or with Peter being sad and alone until Jared comes into his life, but then Jared decided to make out with Colleen instead of being good and true to his BOYFRIEND so nothing makes sense any more and nothing in their past means anything and Jared should be so ashamed. (I am still having emotions.)

Yeah, I don't know if there a vibe formally fat people give off or what.
But what if Damien was chunky when he was a kid. maybe not in the 'my mom doesn't know how to feed children so she sends me on the school bus with a sleeve of oreos' kind of way Peter was, but in a 'can't ever seem to loose that puppy fat' kind of way. And maybe Stanton sees some of the same things in Peter he does in Damien.
(idk, I mean, imagine young Damien with older brothers and a father that all tell him that as soon as he hit 11 he'll get taller and skinny because that's what happens to men in their family but it doesn't happen so not only is he the baby of the family he's chubby too and he's like 15 and chubby cheeked and has a tummy and it's awful because the adults make off handed comments about not growing out of it and his baseball coach makes him run extra laps and the only person who's really decent to him is his uncle Stanton who takes him on a trip to Thailand.)

The kiss is already a violation of the bro code, but I'm hoping Jared being soooooo drunk that he didn't actually get to do anything but being soooo drunk to remember he didn't actually get to do anything, so he desperately tries to hide it from Peter at first but at the same time wanting to came foward, and eventually Peter finds out and 'being drunk is not excuse, Jared, a kiss is a kiss!'
