Season 2 ep 2 reaction post

20 or so minutes to ep 2, ladies (and any gents out there too!).

Our quick synopsis: Jared and Peter try their first manslaughter case when they defend a wannabe crime fighter (Sean Astin) accused of chasing down a man who later died. Meanwhile, Peter's mom (Jane Seymour) arrives with some news that results in a change of living arrangements for her son. And Pindar seeks Carmen's help in battling his phobias.

Sean Astin and Mama Bash. :D How much more fun can you get.

I won't be here for the live reactions tonight. But i'll be around to catch the repeat or else the download. Whatever i see or get my greedy little paws on first.

Pretty damn good episode imo.

Highlights;

- Peter's mom is epic. Seriously, she should have stuck around longer because Colleen/Damien? Definitely needs to be explored more for the sheer awkwardness of it.

- Peter constantly getting c-blocked by everybody and then c-blocking himself because he just HAD to talk to Jared (about the case, but whatever)

- Ignoring the joking/sarcastic way in which it was said, Peter would give Jared his jacket which needs to be written right now (hint hint, lovely F&B fic writers, hint hint)

Sean Astin was awesome. 'Nuff said :)

Lowlights for me;

- Pindar's storlyline seems to have kinda popped out of nowhere. I mean, they've always been pushing him to conquer his phobias but... I don't know. Something just feels weird to me.

- Janie not getting married, even though I knew it was coming. Is it weird that after Jared's commments, I kind of want Jared/Janie now?

- Jared turning slowly into a corporate machine. I very much dislike this. Fingers crossed it's not permanent.


NEXT WEEK! Sooooo excited for Breckin's writing and he and Seth Green paired up once again and in one of our favourite shows!

I LOVE PETER'S MOM, I am so so so so happy. I was worried she would be a let down and she wasn't, and it felt to me like they cut LOADS of stuff with her out, and even with her and Damien, and I WANT IT BACK, I want there to be whole new episodes when the dvds come back, just made up of Jane Seymour.

OH GOD THE LOVELY JACKETNESS. OH GOD. There is NOTHING not perfect about Jared being wrapped up in Peter's clothes for any reason ever. I LOVE THEM.

I don't like it but I a bit like it, I sort of love it because of the HURT, and kjdosfihoweijfsdfs. Yes. Peter will mend him and make it okay.

You know Peter was having a little h/c fantasy right there. Like, 'oh, Jared? you're cold? here, take my big, warm jacket. poor thing.' and then maybe thinking about stroking Jared's hair a bit.

I seriously need some canon-ness of Jared wearing Peter's clothes.
