Yes. It would be after an epic hall argument that had Jared being dragged away and Swatello (who's nearly won the case because Jared's trying to co chair to a stuffed bear) shaking her head and then going off to find Peter and tell him that his former partner finally cracked. And then at the mental hospital Jared's like 'If you see Bear, Peter, please tell him he was right. It was all my fault. And tell him... tell him I'm sorry. Make sure he understands, okay?' and then Peter's not sure if Jared's talking about Bear anymore because of the way Jared's eyes have gotten all watery and are boring deep into Peter's soul.
(Although probably they would slightly tie him down sometimes, for his own safety, which might be nice, pretend I didn't think that.)

You can't unthink it! ^_^ And then even though the cuffs they put on his wrists aren't supposed to hurt him Jared twists so much they they leave his wrists a bit red and Peter's there when they uncuff him and maybe takes Jared's hands and is very careful with him... it may involve wrist kisses. (and maybe that's when Jared blurts out 'You don't smell like mold.' and Peter sort of freezes and Jared continues, softly, with 'Bear smelled like mold... I didn't like it.')
