Hello all! Happy New Year! I could not find a new year cocktail beginning with W. Whatever. So I changed this one from a Happy New Year to a Wonderful one, by doubling all the alcohols \o/
AHappy Wonderful New Year: 1/2 oz brandy, 3/2 oz ruby port, 3/4 oz orange juice, 4 oz Champagne. Basically, mix these things together and enjoy 2012.
edit: This photo is a nice little something posted to the facebook account, presumably as proof that they are still genuinely making us more. I wish they would hurry and also not make us wait for it and also make us MORE more. But probably I ask too much.
Anyhow, I hope everyone's having a fabulous 2012 so far. Let us know how New Years went, how 2012 is going, and if you've made resolutions. (I sort of half resolved to start using tumblr properly again, but tumblr won't let me log in on my main computer, so it's not going well.)

I can't find much in the way of news about F&B this week. Except Breckin Meyer is a bit in love with his new harley, and tweeted about growing a moustache to go with it. He's joking, but HE JUST SHOULD.

2011 Ficlet Fest
OH GOD ALL THE FIC:):):):):):) It's totally made my 2012 a bit great so far.
::dances everyone who prompted and everyone who filled::
And special thanks to
ruyu for organising it all.
I know some people (myself included) found it surprisingly difficult to think up prompts, but we ended up with a really nice bunch in the end, and lots of great fills. If you had a fic that didn't quite get finished in time, do please still post it whenever or if-ever it's done. Fic will always be welcome, even slightly out of season.
2012 Valentines Day Celebration
I know this is a bit of a quick turnaround, but people have been chatting about wanting to do a bit of a similar challenge for valentine's day, and it's surprisingly close in terms of giving people time to write stuff.
What I was thinking was something a bit less organised, but hopefully still workable. I thought we could do it more like a normal comment-fic meme, except nobody fills anything until the day. Let me know what you think:
1. I would put a post up in a few days, and everyone can comment there with prompts. (I'm thinking the valentine's theme is mostly a sort of general romance thing, it doesn't have to be about the actual day, though it can be.)
i. Kinky or not, any and all pairings welcome, slash, het, bromance, gen, etc.
ii. You can leave prompts under your name or anonymously.
iii. You can leave however many prompts you want to. You don't have to intend to write anything in order to leave prompts.
iv. There's no time limit for when prompts have to be in, but be aware that the quicker you leave them the more likely people will be to fill them.
v. No expectations that all prompts will get filled by the way, the plan is just to get lots of prompts in the hope that people will be inspired by one or two of them.
2. Then people can pick and choose whatever they want to write. You can either reply to a comment saying you'll write it, or not bother. You can write however many or few fics/ficlets you like. At whatever length. And you can write prompts someone else is already writing. And you can basically do as you please.
3. Then on Valentine's Day we have another post and everyone posts fills. Much like happened this time, you can either post in comments, or in new posts with links. Also you can obviously post valentine's themed fics that didn't come from a prompt, if inspiration struck.
Let me know how you think that sounds, and if you think it'll work. I know we've only just finished one challenge (and some people are possibly still writing their Christmas fic actually) but you wouldn't have to start writing straight away, there would just be prompts there, tempting you, for when you were ready to think about it again.
