Pairing: Peter Bash/Jared Franklin

Summary: Made for this prompt:
PROMPT #3: Jared spends Christmas with Peter's family. Give me the crazy, but lovely family time! Eggnog! The slightly weird Uncle! Peter distracting Jared from Leonard's awful phone call. Bed!Sharing! Hugs! Gen or Slash is both fine with me.

.

---

”It’s decided then!” Peter said as he closed the lid on his suitcase. “You’re celebrating Christmas with me.”

Jared stood in the doorway of Peter’s room, casually watching him pack his things before leaving for his family’s cabin for the holiday. It always sucked when Peter left and Jared wasn’t going with him.

“I can’t just crash the Bash Christmas party.” Jared answered as he walked over to the bed and slumped down on it.

Peter lifted his suitcase and placed it by the bed, before lying down next to Jared. “Come on, my mom adores you, and there’s no way I’m leaving you here alone for Christmas, that’ just too depressing, dude.”

Jared turned his head to look at his partnerbestfriendloverboyfriendwhatever, they didn’t need labels. “I don’t know, Pete.”

“Your dad’s an ass, Jared, so what if he doesn’t want to spend time with you for Christmas, I do.” Peter said “Besides, you can’t leave me alone with my uncle Jack; you know the one I told you about who got so drunk right before his wedding that he ended up trying to marry the bride’s sister instead? I often wonder why he’s still single.”

Jared laughed and slapped a pillow over Peter’s face. “You’re sure that your mom won’t mind?”

“Absolutely, the more the merrier.”  Peter stated.

“Your family’s awesome.” Jared said.

“You’ve only met my parents; you should wait until after Christmas before deciding if that statement is true or not.”

“So I guess we’re going to Michigan, then?”

“Yeah, you better get packing.” Peter said with a huge grin on his face, playfully trying to get Jared out of bed.

“I’m on it!” Jared answered, practically bouncing of the bed and heading for his own room, only briefly stopping in the doorway.

“Hey, Pete?”

“Yeah?” Peter said, sitting up on his bed.

“Thanks.”

“Sure, buddy.”

------

“Now I know why we couldn’t take a taxi.” Jared said as he was staring out the window of the rental car Peter had insisted on renting for the holiday. “How far from civilization are we?”

“Stop complaining, there’s lots of cabins once we get to the top of this hill, including the famous Bash Family Cabin.” Peter said proudly. “Besides, look at all the white snow, you wouldn’t see any of that back in LA.”

Jared nodded, he had to agree, it really was quite beautiful, even though he hated the cold.

It didn’t take more than 5 more minutes before they were at the top of the hill and another 5 minutes before they reached the end of a pretty deserted road, where the cabin was.

It was really nice, and a little bigger than Jared had expected. Peter parked the car out in front of the garage, there were already some other cars parked outside and Jared was suddenly very nervous. It had been a while since Jared Franklin had been shy guy around people he didn’t know, but it was just this voice in the back of his head trying to convince him that he had to impress Peter’s family, they weren’t like his own family, they actually cared what the other members of the family thought.

“Earth to Jared.” Peter said as he waved a hand in front of Jared’s face.

“What?” Jared answered, not realizing that he had spaced out.

“Are you coming?”

“Oh, right.” Jared said as he got out of the car and helped Peter getting the bags out of the car and carrying them to the front door.

Peter rang the doorbell and smirked stupidly when he saw how nervous Jared looked. “Hey, Jare, relax okay?” he said and ruffled Jared’s hair, and right there, Jared felt like he was 5 years old, but he also felt a whole lot safer. No way he was telling Peter that though.

“Peter!” A somewhat familiar voice squeaked as the door opened.

“Hi mom!” Peter answered with a grin as his mother practically tried to squeeze the life out of him. “How are you?”

“Oh, I’m great, sweetheart. Look at you, all tanned and high business looking.” She said and kissed his cheek.

“Mom, you remember Jared, right?” Peter asked as he stepped aside to make room for Jared to greet his mother.

“Merry Christmas, Mrs. Bash.” He said and was just as surprised as the last time he met Peter’s mom to receive a hug.

“Well, I suppose it’s better than when you called me Mrs. B, from back when you and Peter were still in law school, but I prefer Colleen.” She said with a genuine smile on her face. Jared suddenly noticed that Peter had her smile.

She looked like such a typical mom around the holidays, apron around her waist, her auburn hair set up in a bun on the top of her head, and flour stains on her shoes. “Well, don’t stand out there and freeze, come in!” She said and stepped aside so the boys could get inside.

It was a lot warmer inside, and it didn’t take long before the rest of the relatives that had arrived started swooning around the small hallway.

“Peter, how good to see you, son!” Peter’s dad, Tim said as he shook his son’s hand firmly and gave him a quick hug. “Did you have trouble getting here?”

“Not at all.” Peter lied, the snow had been sort of an issue a couple of times back there. “Everyone, this is Jared!” He pronounces suddenly and everyone started whispering. This should be fun.

“Jared, off course, Colleen told me that Peter was bringing you this year, about time if you ask me.” Tim said as he gave Jared a pat on the shoulder.

“I’m happy to be here.” Jared answered.

“I’ll take your stuff up to your room, since we got kind of a short notice that you were coming, Jared, we only set up a spare mattress on the floor of Petey’s old room, hope that’s okay?” Colleen asked.

“Off course, as long as I don’t have to sleep outside in the snow, everything’s fine with me.” Jared answered.

“Haven’t been out of LA much, huh?” Tim asked as Peter and Jared started taking their coats of.

“Actually I have spent a couple of winters up in Vancouver.” Jared answered, at least that was something.

“Snowboarding?”

“ Skiing.”

Tim’s face lit up “That’s what I like to hear, Peter does that snowboarding thing, I don’t see the point of it, when I was young—“

Jared was officially leaving behind every shred of uncertainty that he did not want to spend the holidays with Peter’s wacky family far away from anything he would call civilization.

“Come on, let’s get you into the living room so you can meet the rest of the clan.” Tim said and urged Jared through the hallway.

“Okay, sure you don’t need any help Mrs-, I mean, Colleen?” It felt weird, he looked over at Peter who just winked at him.

“No, it’s fine.” She said with another one of those heartwarming smiles.

“I’ll give her a hand, you two get settled in front of the fireplace, you must be cold.” Tim said as he grabbed Jared’s bag and headed after his wife.

The living room was not so big, but very cozy. Peter led Jared over to a middle aged man who was sitting in an old chair with a glass in his hand and a bottle of Jack Daniels on the small table next to him and Jared figured that was Peter’s uncle.

“Jared, this is my uncle Jack.” He was right.

“Hi, nice to meet you, Sir.” And everyone started giggling and that last remark, okay, so Uncle Jack was not the kind of man you called ‘sir’, duly noted.

“Call me Jack, or Wilson if you like, but everyone always calls me Jack.” He said and took another drink of his glass.

“Can’t imagine why.” Jared said, making everyone laugh again. At least this time they were laughing with him, and not at him, points scored.

Peter placed his hand on the small of Jared’s back and walked the two steps over to the two sofas in front of the fireplace. “These are my cousins; Christina and Sarah, and this is Matt, Sarah’s husband.” Peter said and Jared nodded and shook their hands.

“Please, call me Chris.” The girl named Christina said, she couldn’t be more than 25 and she was kind of hot.

“And who is this?” Jared asked, looking down at the two kids that was sitting on a bundle of blankets on the floor in front of the fireplace. “This is Danielle, or Dani, she’s 3, and this is CJ, he’s 7.” Sarah answered “And don’t let their looks deceive you, they can be a real handful at times.” She smiled down at CJ who looked very proud at that comment.

Jared grinned stupidly again before realizing that he was doing it and pulled his act together. “So this is it?”

Peter looked down at Sarah and Matt who shrugged their shoulders.”Mom is staying with her fiancé’s family this Christmas, so she’s not coming.”

“Riley might be here.” Chris said from her place on the other sofa “He never gave a clear answer though.”

“Riley, the same Riley that put hair removal cream in your shampoo bottle when you were 11?” Jared asked and Peter nodded with a frown on his face.

“Awesome, I have to meet this guy.” Jared said and Chris held up her hand in a high five. He grinned as he took the opportunity.

“10 minutes here and you’re already turning my family against me, I should know this would happened.”

“He’s like an even more laid back version of you, I didn’t even know that could happen!” Matt said and Jared bowed proudly, making them all laugh again. Yep, life was good.

---

Life had been good for two days, there had been snowball fights, making of ridiculous looking snowmen (and their families off course!) and best of all, sledding! Jared had never been sledding before, but he had obviously been missing out on something. The experience didn’t get any less awesome when Peter decided they should share a sled and squeezed Jared so tight on their way down the hill that Jared thought he couldn’t breathe. He was officially head over heels in love with Peter Bash. No denying it.

The third night though, Peter had thought it had been a good idea to get some fresh air into their room while they been downstairs for dinner, so he left the windows open and when it was time to go to bed the room was freezing.

“Dude, seriously!” Jared said as he rushed over to the windows to close them. “It’s freezing in here!”

Peter didn’t answer, but undressed and got into his pajama pants and usual sleeping T-shirt (hey, it was cold!) before jumping into bed and pulling the covers over his body.

“There’s no way I’m sleeping on the floor, its like, made of ice.” Jared said as he grabbed a blanket from the chair in the corner of the small bedroom.

“I thought we discussed this the first night, there’s not room for the both of us in the bed, it’s made for a ten your old and I can barely fit in here without you.” Peter said.

“Oh right, so Peter wants a blowjob, then Jared can come into bed, but when Jared won’t sleep on the ice cold floor, then there’s no room? Nice, Peter, very nice.”  Jared answered as he took of his clothes and took on his pajamas pants, they both knew he wasn’t really mad, but it still did the trick.

“Fine.” Peter said and pulled back the covers so Jared and his blanket could crawl underneath, and sure enough, there was not enough room.

“Lay down on your side.” Jared said, and Peter did as he was told. Jared followed his example and did the same, feeling Peter‘s breath tickle the back of his neck. “Why am I always the small spoon?”

“Do you really want me to answer that?” Peter asked as he put one of his arms around Jared, pulling him impossibly closer.

“Good night, Peter.”

“Night, Jare.”

The tight fit wasn’t so bad after all.

--

It was two days before Christmas when the famous cousin Riley showed up. He looked like the kind of asshole that Peter had described him to be.

“What’s happening, cuz?” he asked as he shook Peter’s hand.

“You decided to show up.” Peter answered.

“Off course, I wouldn’t miss Christmas with the family, and I didn’t exactly get an invitation to mom and her new family’s Christmas party so, here I am, and besides, your mom makes the best turkey.” He said “You must be Jared?”

“Hi.” Jared said and took his hand.

“I thought you’d be taller.”

“I thought you’d be a douche; guess one of us was right.”

Riley just grinned “I like him.”

--

The Bash family always cut their own tree, and this year was no different, so Tim dragged the whole family, including Jared and the kids, out into the woods in the middle of the day to find the perfect tree.

Jared thought he gained some points with Tim, but lost point with the rest of the family, including Peter, when he turned out to be the pickiest of them all.

“How about this?” Sarah asked as she slumped up against another tree.

“The branches are too far apart.” Jared said and pointed at the tree. Everyone sighed and Tim patted him on the shoulder for the hundredth time since he had arrived at the cabin.

“Jared is absolutely right.” He said and Jared grinned at Peter.

Two hours later they had found the perfect Christmas tree after everyone’s standard and was desperately trying to get it through the house without all of the needles to fall off. It was just as hard trying to make it stand straight, and also agreeing on how the decorations would be this year. When Jared had still lived at home, he had decorated their tree alone since he was six; this was a whole lot better. He started to get envious of Peter and the way he had grown up.

Before it got dark outside, everyone had to help put up the Christmas lights, Jared didn’t exactly see the point since no one could see the cabin, but Peter said that most likely someone would come caroling on Christmas eve. Jared grinned.

When it got dark and the lights was set, and the glittering Santa Clause with his reindeers was standing proudly on the top of the roof, and the kids were playing in the snow and Peter pulled his arm around Jared’s waist, life was getting really-really good.

---

“Your family’s awesome.”  Jared said as he snuggled Peter’s chin, as usual they were barely fitting in the small bed.

“I’m glad, they seem to like you a lot.” Peter said as he stroked Jared’s hair.

“That’s because I’m awesome.”

“So how was it to be this year’s lucky eggnog taster?” Peter asked with a huge grin.

“Your mom and Sarah makes it strong, and they are very picky, I had to taste it a lot.” Jared answered and snuggled closer to Peter, if that was even humanly possible.

“Now you see why no one else volunteered?” Peter asked and Jared just giggled drunkenly. “You’re such a lightweight, Jare.”

“I’m short.”

“And on that comment, maybe we should get some sleep, huh?” Peter suggested.

“And I’m horny.” Jared said, not listening to a word Peter was saying.

“You usually are when you’re drunk, but I’ll think some sleep would do you a whole lot better than a blowjob, right about now.” Peter said and pulled the covers around them.

“It doesn’t have to be a blowjob, I’m not picky.”

“Good night, Jare.”

“Night,” Jared answered groggily into Peter’s chest.

“I love you.”

Jared was already asleep.

----

Jared hadn’t been so happy at Christmas Eve since, well, last year, when Peter had dragged him under the mistletoe and decided to put his tongue down his best friend’s mouth for the first time.  It was still pretty early though and the women were busily cooking away in the kitchen while the guys were outside trying to get all of the new fallen snow out of the driveway.

Peter and Jared on the other hand were inside with the kids, watching A Christmas Story on TV. Snow wasn’t really Jared expertise and Peter would much rather stay inside with him than go out and freeze his butt of anyway.

Peter was casually stroking Jared’s hair while watching the movie, it was great. And then Jared’s phone rang.

He pulled the cell out of his pocket and looked at the display “It’s dad.” He said and Peter looked at him.

“You’re gonna answer it?” He asked.

“Probably should.” Jared said and hit the green button “This is Jared.” He said as he got up from his place on the old sofa and bounced up the stairs to Peter’s old room to get some privacy. By his dad’s first comment Jared knew he hadn’t called to wish him a happy Christmas. This was going to be fun.

----

“Where’s Jared?” Tim asked when the boys got back inside, everyone hurried to get a spot in front of the fireplace.

“His dad called.”

“Is he alright?” Sarah asked as she got out from the small kitchen area, licking some blue substance from her fingers. Peter didn’t even want to know what she was making.

“I don’t know, they’ve been talking for a while.” Peter said and glanced up the stairs.

Maybe you should go and see if he’s okay, then?” Riley suggested in the most sarcastic way. Peter just puffed.

“I’ll be right back.” He said and got up from the sofa.

When he reached his room he knocked twice, before hearing Jared answer “I’ll be down in a sec.” He did not sound too happy.

Peter opened the door and found a heartbroken Jared sitting on his bed, back slumped against the headboard and clutching one of Peter’s old teddy bears in his hands. It was the cutest and saddest thing Peter had ever seen.

“Hey, buddy.” He said and sat down on the edge of the bed. “You wanna talk about it?”

“No.”

Peter waited one second, two, three-

“He’s just such an ass!” Peter said and hugged the bear even tighter.

Peter smiled. “I know, but it’s not teddy’s fault.” He said and took the stuffed animal out from Jared’s death grip.

“You named your bear, Teddy?”

“Sue me.”

Jared offered him a small smile.

“You sure you don’t want to talk about it?” Peter asked and put one of his hands on top of Jared’s knee in a small comforting gesture.

“Yeah, I don’t want to ruin your Christmas too.” He said and looked down at Peter’s hand on his knee.

“I don’t understand why you care about anything he says, he doesn’t deserve the fact that you care.” Peter said.

“That’s easy for you to say! Besides from a cousin you don’t like, you actually have a real family that loves you!” Jared snapped “I just have him.”

“You have me!” Peter snapped back “Okay? I’m your family, we’re family and I love you and I won’t let that asshole ruin your Chrismtas!”

Jared just stared at him for a little while “You love me? Like love me in the buddy kind of way or-“ he as cut off by Peter’s mouth on his. It was clumsily and there was teeth clashing and possibly a little bit of spit dribbling, but it was by far the best kiss they had ever shared during the last year.

When Peter pulled away, Jared was grinning stupidly and Peter punched him in the arm.

“Shut up.” He said, and Jared just kept grinning.

Peter laughed and bounced himself on top of Jared, bringing them both to the floor, Jared laughed hysterically as Peter tickled him to tears. “Stop it!” Jared laughed and surprisingly Peter did as he was told.

“Better?” he asked, and Jared nodded as Peter stroked his cheek.

“Much, now get off me, I feel like a girl.”

Peter just kissed him again.

---

It’s the most wonderful time of the year was playing cheerfully on the stereo, while the whole Bash family sang along while Colleen and Sarah finished setting the table. It was all sort of goofy, Jared thought, like he was in one of those cheesy Christmas specials, but that didn’t stop him from singing along as well.

“This is seriously delicious!” Jared said around a mouthful of turkey, he had no idea how much he had eaten, only that he would have a serious stomach ache later, and that it totally would be worth it.

“I’m glad you like it.” Colleen said with a smile as she wiped Dani’s shirt. Jared had noticed that the little girl had a tendency of spilling gravy all over herself…, even when they weren’t eating anything with gravy.

He also hadn’t failed to notice that Peter was snuggling his leg up against Jared’s under the table. It was nice, like, really nice.

They had taken a break before dessert so the food could sink in their stomachs. CJ had insisted that Jared played with his toy train, so while he was sitting there on the floor of the living room, trying desperately to make the electric train go faster, he already knew what he wanted for Christmas next year. Once a dork, always a dork, but who cares?

Uncle Jack had fallen asleep in his favorite chair with a half empty bottle of Jack in his hand. Tim had only laughed and tucked him in an old blanket.

“So, having fun?” Peter asked, as he sat down next to Jared on the floor.

“Very, we’ve got to get one of these things.” Jared said, not even noticing that CJ wasn’t sitting there anymore.

“They’d be real popular at our parties, huh?” Peter said as he watched the train go round, and round…, and round.

“Definetly.” Jared said as he finally looked over at Peter. “Where’s CJ?”

“Helping Sarah and Matt setting the table, while mom and dad finish the dessert.” Peter answered with a knowing grin “Guess you were too wrapped up in your little train to notice.”

“Don’t ruin this for me.”

“I won’t.” Peter answered “But look what I found.”

Jared turned his head again to see Peter holding up a mistletoe, he had to smile.

“Aww, Petey-pie, you remembered.” He said teasingly as he patted Peter’s knee.

“I did, stop mocking me, idiot.”

“I love you too.”

Peter grinned “Like love me in a buddy kind of way or-“

“You know what, Peter?” Jared said and took a hold of Peter’s chin “Shut up.”

And there they were, one year later, under the mistletoe. They were so sappy.

--

“Peteeeeer!” Jared whined.

“What?” Peter said sleepily into Jared’s neck.

“Get off.” Jared answered and pushed Peter until he was two inches away from falling out of the bed.

“Dude, what the Hell?” Peter answered as Jared rolled over so he could lay on his back, leaving Peter with pretty much no room in the small bed.

“My stomach is killing me.” Jared groaned.

“I knew you shouldn’t have eaten so much, and then that third piece of cake? Damn.” Peter said “Even for you, that was quite impressing, buddy.”

“Can you rub it?”

“What?” Peter asked, a little taken back by the question.

“Rub my stomach, like you did when it was an all you can eat taco’s bar down at Al’s?” Jared said and groaned again by the memory.

“How? There’s no room in the bed.”

They ended up pulling the mattress out of the bed and next to mattress on the floor that Jared was suppose to be sleeping on so Peter could rub Jared’s stomach until he fell asleep.

--

They awoke by a very happy CJ that was banging on their door “Uncle Peter, presents! Come on, mom won’t me open any until everybody comes downstairs!”

Peter just groaned into his pillow, which turned out to be Jared’s shoulder. Jared kept on snoring until CJ banged on the door even louder.

“What’s that noise?” He asked sleepily.

“CJ wants us to come downstairs so he can open his presents.”

“Presents?” Jared’s eyes flew open “its Christmas morning, come on!” he said as he bounced up from the floor and dragged Peter with him out the door, past CJ and down the stairs.

Everyone was already seated around the tree, some on the sofa and some on the floor. CJ was hot on their tails as they sat down to join the rest of the family.

“Who wants eggnog?” Riley asked.

“It’s a little early, isn’t it?” Chris asked.

“It’s never too early.”

“Hear, hear!” Jared agreed.

The Christmas gift was just as cheesy and crazy like with everything else in the family. Uncle Jack got bottle openers from all of the cousins, which apparently, he did every year. Colleen and Tim had gotten each other some very ugly sweaters while Matt gave Sarah a beautiful necklace and he received a watch back, Chris was squealing happily over a pair of socks (and clearly, Jared did not see the meaning behind that) that she had gotten from her boyfriend who stayed the Christmas in New York with his grandparents and Riley had gotten a little sentimental over photo album he had gotten from his mom.

Peter and Jared had also gotten a couple of gifts from people from the office, including Hanna and Karp (since they were officially engaged now, Jared supposed that Karp had to sign his name on the card) and Infield. They had also gotten some really… interesting gifts from Carmen and Pindar that they chose not to show the family.

“Hey, Jared, this one is for you.” CJ said and handed him a gift from under the tree. “It’s from Uncle Pete.”

“Hey, awesome!” Jared said and then lowered his voice so only Peter could hear him “This isn’t something that they can’t see, is it?”

Peter just laughed “No!” and then he lowered his voice, for Jared’s ears only “I’ll give you that later.”

Jared grinned and started tearing off the paper of the small squared package. What on earth could it be? When he finally got all of the wrapping paper away, he could see that it was a piece of paper, in a very nice wooden frame.

“What’s this?” Jared asked.

“That’s the check for the very first case we worked together.”

“The transsexual prostitute?” Jared asked.

“Mom, what’s a transsexual?” CJ asked, and Jared just bit the inside of his cheek. Idiot.

“You’ll know when you’re older.”

“What’s a prostitute?”

“Same answer.” Sarah said.

CJ looked over at Peter and Jared “I hate it when she does that.”

Jared laughed and muttered a ‘sorry’ to Sarah, who only winked at him.

“Wait, so you’re saying that this is the check that you told me you lost?” Jared asked and Peter nodded.

“The one that put us a month behind on our rent?”

“Oh, right, I forgot about that, sorry.” Peter said “I wanted to keep it.”

“It’s fine, you’re lucky it’s actually a kind of awesome gift, thank you.” Jared said and squeezed his hand, and finally Peter was the one to grin like an idiot. “So, what’s the story behind the frame? Is it like, carved out of the desk we shared at our old dorm?”

“No, I got it at Walmart.”

“Even better.”

“Where’s Uncle Peter’s present, Jared?” CJ asked curiously.

Jared bit his lip and shook his head “I don’t know.”

CJ gasped out in shock and then Dani did the same as her brother.

“I think I know.” Colleen answered as she got up from her chair.

“What’s going on?” Peter asked.

“Well, I might be the immature one, but you’re the one who always tries to get a sneak peek at the presents, so I FedEx’ed it to your mom the minute I got it.”

Peter opened his mouth and then closed it, before opening it again “You don’t trust me!”

“Not with presents, I don’t.”

Colleen got back with an old handcrafted vintage guitar, with a red bow around it.

“I had trouble wrapping it.” Jared said, but Peter didn’t answer, he just sat there with his mouth open, desperately reaching out for the guitar.

“Dude, it’s amazing!” He said when he finally got his hands on it. “Dude, it must have cost a fortune.”

“I know a guy.” Jared said and was rewarded with a handful of Peter, trying to crush him to death.

“Thank you!” he said, before pulling back and studying the guitar again. “Karp’s gonna be so jealous!”

“I know, right?” Jared said happily.

“Those two are seriously meant for each other.” Sarah whispered to Matt, who couldn’t help but agree, at least until they heard Peter yell:

“Wait, you FedEx’ed this?! It’s a classic!”

“ Oh, come on, it’s fine isn’t it?”

Sarah laughed.

This, my dear, is perfect. It's like you either have a direct link to my brain or you stalked me in a really friendly manner. (And in case this wasn't clear, I'm the prompter ^^)

Things I love:
- That they don't need labels for their love.
- Jared's insecurities about crashing the Bash Christmas and Peter reassuring him.
- Everyone loving Jared.
- Mrs. B ... I can so see Jared calling her that.
- Uncle Jack.
- Peter placing his hand on the small of Jared’s back.
- Christina, because that's close to my real name and now I can pretend Jared has the hots for me. XD
- The whole family.
- Jared being the little spoon.
- This whole thing: “I thought you’d be taller.” “I thought you’d be a douche; guess one of us was right.” Riley just grinned “I like him.”
- Jared being picky about the tree.
- Peter pulling his arm around Jared’s waist.
- Jared being the eggnog tester.
- Peter saying "I love you" when Jared is asleep.
- The whole first kiss under a mistletoe snippet.
- Leonard making Jared miserable with a phone call (I love the daddy!issues, I can't help it XD)
- Peter being so angry with Leonard on Jared's behalf.
- “You love me? Like love me in the buddy kind of way or-“ And the kissing. I love the kissing.
- Peter holding a mistletoe over their heads.
- “I love you too.”
- The stomach rubbing.
- The whole gift exchange with presents not suitable for children to see and the incredibly sappy gifts they have for each other. And FedEx. (And the photo album bit really creeped me out a bit, b/c that's exactly what my mom got me for Christmas this year and I got ridiculously sentimental over it.)

In conclusion: I loved everything about it. Thank you so much. *sends a hug*

PS - I think you switched the names by accident in this sentence: “He’s just such an ass!” Peter said and hugged the bear even tighter.

I just ran out of all the fic, so I was so happy there was MORE FIC, and this is really beautiful. I love Jared crying and hugging Peter's bear. I love them having to squish into a tiny bed, especially because of the cold, but also the bit about the blowjob was great and very Jared.

I agree with the entire list that Hope made, but especially the bit about Riley expecting someone taller, and Jared expecting a douche, that was just perfect. And I ADORED THE ENDING, with the agreement that they're meant for each other and then the yelling:):):):):):):):):)

At least this time they were laughing with him, and not at him, points scored.
I imagine this would make Jared very happy <3

Why am I always the small spoon?
THIS is the best thing that came out of Jared's mouth!! (insert dirty joke here XD)

The Bash family and Jared being picky with the tree and Peter's dad liking that.

And I'd quote the entire fic if posible too.

Oh! I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved this! Seriously, I was grinning like a loon all the way through because, like [livejournal.com profile] jekesta, I thought I'd read all the fic and them suddenly there was more!

I loved the wonderful family that you created for Peter and the fact that Jared was nervous about meeting them. I loved the idea of them both snuggling in Peter's tiny bed, especially when Jared was drunk and horny! The appearance of Jared's daddy issues was lovely, as was the kissing and the mistletoe. And like everyone else seems to be agreed on, my favourite bit was:

“I thought you’d be taller.”
“I thought you’d be a douche; guess one of us was right.”
Riley just grinned “I like him.”

Made me laugh out loud! This was such a great read, thank you so much for filling this prompt and sharing it with us... ;o)
