Whiskey Sour Wednesday

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz whiskey
1 1/2 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz sugar syrup
maraschino cherry for garnish

Preparation:
Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled sour glass.
Garnish with the cherry.

So now that we have the alcohol out of the way (I sadly don't have whiskey, but I'll drink hot cacao with crème de menthe later), on to the free for all post!

Unfortunately, blissfulmuseum had to step down as a mod, and we thank her for her work. Fear not, though, vic_amy_z has kindly agreed to become our new mod. Let's all say hello to her!

There's still one prompt left unclaimed for our Holiday Ficlet Fest. And how's everyone doing (or not doing since this is supposed to be anon ... which some of us fail at spectacularly not me) with it? Are your characters getting emo when they should cuddle? Do they cuddle when they should have sex? Are you even writing Franklin & Bash or did your muse decide that you desperately need to write a fix-it for Charles/Erik from X-Men: First Class right now?

We're done with our weekly rewatch of the show, which is depressing and we spent a lot of time bemoaning the fact that they only made ten episodes on Sunday. We still will have a weekly rewatch, though, we just didn't agree on what we want to see yet. Suggestions? Ideas? Tell us.

 But now that we all have refreshed our memory on what happens in season one, what are your whishes for season two? Personally, I hope for more hugs, more daddy!issues, more naked!everyone and if Ellen and Jared could get it on in some closet or so I'd be a happy camper. Just saying.

I'm not writing Franklin & Bash (outrageous) but deadlines inspired me so I'm confident I'll finish in time.
And for suggestions: CORPORATE AFFAIRS and DEAD MAN ON CAMPUS!!

Ooh, I forgot about rewatch suggestions. I haven't seen either of those--are they good?
Has anyone seen Raising the Bar? (I haven't seen that either, but I will now forever find it amusing because Breckin and MP keep bringing up its cancellation as a joke.)

'Corporate Affairs' isn't good, but it does have Breckin in it. Then again, you can say that about most of his films! I think that's the one we're going to watch this Sunday.

I really do need to see some more of MPGs stuff though, other than 'Saved By The Bell' and the sex scene in 'Weeds'...!

I think jekesta was going to put one up as she's the one with the digital copy. People are more than welcome to watch my copy, but that would involve everyone coming to my house and snuggling up in the spare room! But as long as people bring chocolate and wine, and don't hog the blanket... ;o)

I liked Raising the Bar, but I have a thing for law shows on TNT, especially ones starring MPG. *shrugs* It's... a law show. The characters aren't as fun as F&B, and MPG is practically the same character, but with more rage against the system and frustration and long hair that I may or may not have wanted to run my finger through.... ahem

As far as career choices go, it's definitely not one of his worse ones. *shrugs*

Dean Man on Campus is REALLY LOVELY. I totally support rewatching that, it's one of hte nicest bits of MPG's career.

And I LOVED raising the bar. It's very serious and worthy compared to F&B, but also just really normal sort of lawyer fare, and I liked lots of the characters. AND MPG IS SO BEAUTIFUL.

MPG looks so pretty in Dean Man on Campus. Him in his glasses. Oh yes. I'm also convinced that Peter went through a similar glasses phase, where he was all intellectual and stuff. (that was possibly around the time that Jared decided to work in a sexy club... and they were trying to be seperate people, but it didn't work, and they were always a little sad at night even though they tried having other friends and... erm.)

Eeeee, oh their lives are TERRIFIC if you imagine they followed their film career. Jared decided randomly to be an olympic runner at one point and grew the best moustache in the world.

But also, yes, I can sort of imagine Peter going away to uni and trying to reinvent himself a bit with glasses and stuff, and Jared kind of not minding because he was still Peter, but also not really getting it.
