Jared nervously raised his eyes to see Peter standing at his desk, fiddling with a pencil.
"They still haven't taken that wall down." Peter, who'd avoided looking at Jared thus far and was determined not to start now, could hear the pout in his voice.
Almost whispering, because his voice would undoubtledly shake otherwise, Peter nodded the affirmative. "Yeah."
A slight smile crossed Jared's face as he suggested, calmly, "I have a hammer?"
The smile grew into a grin as he felt Peter press his lips to Jared's forehead quickly, taking the hammer and throwing it at the offending wall.
"There. That's better."
To her credit, Debbie didn't utter a word as she came in to hand Peter a file and noticed the quite large, gaping hole, through which the partners were passing a basketball.

The quiet knock on the door made Peter glance up, only to see Jared standing in the doorway, that unmistakable pout on his face. He forced himself to look down at his work again, to resist smiling and ruffling the shorter man's hair, pulling him into a hug and forgetting that they'd ever fought.
"May I come in?" Jared sounded timid, which was quite troubling in and of itself.
"It's your office, too, Franklin." It was getting harder, keeping his face blank and his tone clear.
"Listen, Peter..." Jared crossed to stand in front of Peter's desk, nervously wobbling from foot to foot. He closed his eyes to keep from seeing the expression on his partner's face. "I'm sorry, I really really am. You're not a sell-out, I didn't mean to --"
A warm hand brushed through his hair and a body pressed close as Peter's self-restraint crumbled into nothingness, and Jared's arms wrapped around him, and they'd had their share of kisses and make-up sex but Jared's thin fingers ghosting over his arm, softly saying everything that he couldn't find words to say, was somehow more intimate than anything they'd had before. Peter reached up, tentatively, shakily grazing Jared's face with the backs of his fingers. "It's okay."

But the thing is that no matter what I think of or how often I write or the fandom, ninety percent of it is this stuff - short fluff and hurt/comfort and angst, and no matter if it's good or not, you need to read more than just that one type, I think.
Sorry for the long-winded explanation :D yeah, I'll definitely write some more for this particular ship, if you don't mind the mostly-fluff :P
