Jared had some good faces this week. A couple of winks too.

And we got to learn some more about their high school days.

OH GOD. I loved this episode. But yes I was so disappointed about Ellen. I mean even if you buy the idea that she would have in any way filled out the form that way, whether she was having feelings or not, it was wrong on every level, but even if you buy that, like she wouldn't understand that Jared was writing down what he thought she wanted to hear, like OBVIOUSLY EVERYONE WOULD BE DOING THAT. UGH. And like she's not sleeping with at least three other people anyway.

I liked Jared blaming Peter, though.

And I like that even in this heterosexual landscape they now inhabit they know they would be great dads together, and at least Jared didn't want to call the baby Skeletor, and oh my god they would be amazing, I love that they pretended to be gay parents.

Also the reporter child mentioned something about elephants and circuses which was nice.

Also Peter is really beautiful and I loved him fathering the teenage boy a bit over dinner and I loved Jared covering for him when he was hard in court and I love that he still loves Marisa Tomei and Jared is tired of it.

I love that Jared's the one who is worried about money and about actually trying to make the business work.

Stanton's casual 'I don't remember taking the bar' made me laugh out loud it's SO PERFECT, he so easily might never have bothered. And the cello lady is one of my favourite actresses and she was amazing and I know they won't but it would be so lovely if she stayed and was forever and sometimes had to do law and they had to always talk her down from destroying the opposition and going overboard and Peter could have a slight affair with her because Peter has an older woman thing.

Jared would know Deep Throat from the x-files. Jared not having watched the x-files and had an unholy crush on Gillian Anderson is beyond my understanding.

I love EVERY TIME they mention Jared not being popular at school and how he had to kind of reinvent himself to fit in. lksdfhowiejfsdf. YES TO EVERYTHING YOU SAID. I love them so much.

YES THIS. Maybe probably Jared hears someone trying to get in a couple of nights in a row and he tries to be brave but is obviously scared and doesn't think he's imagining it, and then the next night he wakes up and Dan is just sitting on his bed watching him sleep, and then the next night he just goes and sleeps with Peter because he's NATURALLY TERRIFIED, and then they fall in love forever.

Jared's solo dancing! YES. Yes. And them matchmaking the whole gallery was lovely, and the judge just being used to them now and agreeing basically to have dancing just because they wanted it.

It was so not Ellen. In any way. Like what even possessed the writers to think that that's what she would have done. (I mean, I know what possessed them, but bad on them for doing it) Zero sense.

Jared blaming Peter and Ellen kind of looking like 'oh, Peter, yeah'... like yeah Ellen, this was the future that you thought you wanted to maybe live with???

We're checking off so many fanfic tropes this season. Pretending to be gay parents is like one step above just pretending to be a gay couple.

Peter looks so lovely when he's around women who have children. Like his little sweater outfit when he went to dinner was like classic dad clothes.

Jared's face when Peter offered probono services was amazing. I feel like the money problems are weighing on him most of all. (like they're probably not weighing on Stanton much if he's thinking of spending thousands on Jackson 5 bobble heads)

I agree that they won't do this and we'll probably never see her again but, oh man, yes, this would be the most perfect thing ever. And I'd also want her to become friends with Colleen.

I can not fathom a universe where Jared hasn't watched the x-files and has no knowledge of deep throat. This is just as inexplicable as the whole Swatello thing.

The judge was great. He just let them go for it. Who cares. Let's do this. All judges should be like that. (unless, of course, they want to be total hard nuts and throw Peter and Jared into jail, that's be okay too)

And it's like the middle of the night, and Jared totally tried to sleep in his own room even after Dan was watching him sleep, probably with the excuse of getting some info which he thought he should give to Jared at 3 am, which Jared thinks could have totally been a reason but probably actually wasn't because Dan also stroked his hair before he left, but he hears some noises again and just bolts to Peter's room and tries to act all casual as he crawls under the covers and wraps his arms around Peter. And Peter's all sleepy and 'wha-?' and Jared mumbles into his hair 'Danwaswatchingmesleep' and Peter mumbles back something about how he's not going to help Jared count sheep but he also doesn't kick Jared out of bed and by the time morning happens he's curled around Jared, which Jared really prefers.
