season 2 ep 10 650 to SLC discussion
Well guys,
This is it. The final episode of the season and its a doozy.
Jared's Father attempts to buy the firm. So what will our boys and the rest of Infeld Daniels do?
This went far too fast! Here's to hoping we get a season 3!!!
Fangirling and squeeing and all teh usual discussions below.
I'm late tonight, but i won't be around to squee until after i get my greedy little paws on the download!
Have fun ladies and gents! (mods we need an actual episode tag for this one later, okay? )

Peter getting temporarily suspended was kind of random, especially coming a week after their IA investigation. Also, DID NOT LIKE the reason Stanton hired them. It was always going to be something bad but that was just cruel and if they'd left I would have totally supported their decision. Although I like that even after they turned it around to help the firm, they were still a little pissed at Stanton.
I enjoyed the subplot with Chris Klein. Peter on the stand was interesting, though I would have liked to have seen Jared cross-examine him. AND I totally want a flashback to when they were in high school and Jared would go to all of Peter's football games and sit on the bleachers cheering him on and wear Peter's letterman jacket.
I loved Hanna owning up to what she'd done and apologising to the guys and even though he never apologised, I liked Damien's toast at the end too. One big happy family again (even if there was no group hug)
Other good points were Jared impersonating his father and getting them jet skis, Peter & Jared ON A PLANE (mile high club, anyone?) and Jared sliding his phone (Peter's phone? I'm not too sure) along the bar to Peter. Their synchronicity is awesome :)
Can we have season 3 now please?

There may well be something more coherent after second watch through but -
I actually made seal noises at Peter being Jared's intern - I need someone to sexual harass and get me coffee
and sex toys for Valentines \o/
Leonard Franklin really is an asshole and Jared has a sister??
And I loved that Pindar called Emily 'Yoko'...

I LITERALLY CANNOT BELIEVE they didn't make Jared cross examine Peter. They went to ALL THAT EFFORT to get one of them on the stand. LSdhfoiwefs. They didn't have nearly enough fun with that. I hope next year one of them gets sued for something and the other one defends them. I hope next year happens.
I can't believe they quietly gave Jared a sister. KSHDOIF. There are so many different things I want from Peter being near Jared's sister, and I can't decide which one most.
Basically this episode did none of the Infeld/Leonard stuff that I wanted and NEEDED so I'm kind of cross with it. Infeld's reason for hiring them was stupid and not true, he clearly loves them, and loves Leonard and wanted Leonard in his life more, or just someone to remind him of him, and to upset Leonard by supporting his son while also looking after him, and lskdfhiwlsdihfsdf, I know it's Franklin and Bash and making sense isn't its primary focus, but this season has been weird and I'm a little bit sad. (I'm also pre-menstrual, everything makes me sad today.)
I'm cross with MPG because he said it ended on a bit of a cliff hanger which might have lead them in new directions next year, but did he mean Emily moving in? Or did he think they were going to leave it on a cliff hanger of trying to decide whether or not to stay with Infeld? Because that's the cliff hanger I wanted, I wanted them in the diner, moodily eating burgers and contemplating their future together. Endlessly they finish seasons with a party at the cave instead of meaningful glances at the diner.
I enjoyed the episode massively, I think that might not be coming across. It was lovely. Somebody grazed Jared's penis with his fingers. Also he can't kill fish. I'm just so cross that we don't get any more until next year (when presumably they will make us more why didn't they say they would????) And I'm angry that they're not pandering to me MORE. And I feel a lot like in the first season Peter and Jared were so delighted by each other, because I think MPG and BM were a bit each others new favourite thing. And now they know each other too well and I know they're still beautiful together, but there's been no hugging, and less making each other laugh despite themselves, and something. I *love* Jared looking after Peter reassuringly and we've had loads of that and it makes me so happy inside, but also I like it when Jared looks like a tiny boy and Peter just wants to LOVE HIM and we haven't had that as much. I think they should ban MPG and BM from seeing each other now, and then they'd be really happy to be back with each other next year. Also I think they should have a dog and no Emily and BM should write all the episodes, but he's not allowed to put Seth Green in all of them, and some of them should be road trips and OCCASIONALLY he should be shot.
And I hate Jared's new wardrobe, although some of his new wardrobe is really nice, but he used to wear turtles and he had that lovely elephant t-shirt and now he's all wrong, and he wasn't naked, not even for a little while.
I love that Jared claimed Peter as an intern, happy happy happy happy. So much sexual harrassment for him <33333333

This season lacked the Hanna/Damien component of last season and I couldn't quite figure out why. But at least we're clear that Hanna's had a change of heart and Damien's not out for blood (he'd just prefer it if Peter and Jared were invisible and silent, I imagine).
Stanton remains his scary schizophrenic self and not just with Damien anymore. I'm not sure I'd have been as quick to forgive him as Peter and Jared were (and he never promised to be straight with them from now on either).
"Not if I was on fire!" made everything all right for me, but I'm strange that way.
Been a fun year, you all, but 10 episodes is NOT enough!
