season 2 ep 4 For Those About To Rock reaction post

It's F&B night ladies and gentlemen!

Tonight? Jared finds himself once again going head to head with his father in court. Beau Bridges and Peter Weller guest star!

Peter Weller as a rock star? Yeah, interesting. :D

Jokes, commentary and the usual squeeing below. Spoiler heavy, those of you not watching yet.

Enjoy!

Tonight, i'm chasing a grumpy toddler who refuses to sleep (my nephew), so i may not be with you in comments. ^^;;

Not my favourite episode of the season fo far but enjoyable none the less.

The overall storyline was interesting. I'm glad they're back to fighting for the little guy.

The daddy issues were as prevalent as ever. The tie-pin/beach house conversation made my heart break for Jared. (Although I now want to know who he was at the beach house with :P)

Peter was highly unsympathetic in this episode in regards to Jared's ruling and Jared's daddy issues and practically everything to do with Jared. Although he did try to protect him from the comments on the blogosphere and asking him if his head was messed up.

But on the other hand we did get some nice moments from Jared, such as talking about how he and Peter are partners, but not life partners... but totally life partners. And also reassuring Peter that he's an awesome musician, even if Jared doesn't completely believe that. AND (though he should have been on drums) being on the front row for Peter's gig. Jared's totally his groupie XD

Yes, yay fighting for something they actually believe in! That was a brilliant relief.

I didn't find Peter that unsympathetic. I just sort of assume with daddy issues that he lets Jared deal with stuff and get through the day because he's a grown up, and then just looks after him when it's all too much at night because he's a tiny little boy who hates his dad.

How many terrible terrible gigs Jared must have sat through for Peter. Always right at the front with a smile on his face.

On tumblr someone mentioned that Peter totally left Jared alone outside a club that the fans were all blaming him for shutting down. Which would not end well for him if said fans spotted him there. I'm just mentioning this in case anyone wants to make fic where Jared gets randomly beaten up because Peter LEFT HIM ALONE AND UNGUARDED and there is guilt and bleeding, that would be okay with me.

I like this theory *files it into headcanon* But I still think he seemed a little more involved when Leonard was around in S1. But then, we all know that consistancy isn't the writers strong point. What's that, Jared? You were pre-med before switching to law? And you didn't graduate the same high school as Peter, even though you had high school issues with Danny who apparently attended the same school as Peter? ;)

And YES! Somebody needs to fic that right away.

I'm not a big fan of H/C but, that would totally be okay with me too... except for the bleeding, just bruises

I totes agree that Peter wasn't all that sympathetic. Like he was way too interested in his music career. There was a lot of disjointedness between them.
