Sad news that we probably knew was maybe coming.

Franklin and Bash has been cancelled.

There's no bright side to this, but through the tears and over the sounds of our hearts shattering, never to be repaired, I think we can try to remember the good times, the lovely characters they probably didn't realize they were creating, the plot points that we predicted and they gave us, and, of course, the undeniable love between Peter and Jared.

And, with canon closed, I'm pretty sure they legally belong to us now.

Who wants to hug it out?

Ugh I am totally trying to be a grown up about it and I just want to collapse in a puddle of sadness and hate everything. They left it just late enough to cancel that I started to think maybe they were going to ignore ALL THE NUMBERS and keep it anyway.

But also I want to say how much I love this fandom and all the people in it; I loved the show to bits but you all made it even better. There mightn't have been many of us, but still.

And hopefully Breckin and MP will quickly start making films together now, or another series, or a spinoff, or just film us new episodes while they're on the golf course or holidaying in Hawaii or whatever. They're not to stop being in love just because TNT are idiots.

Right? I mean, I was sure that if they planned to cancel they would have done it right away... I know the numbers were abysmal, but still. And logically I know I shouldn't be so upset, but I've kinda cried like three separate times already.

<3 <3 <3 This was really one of the best fandom experiences ever. I'm not sure if anything will top this.

And, you know, fandom is forever. Fandom doesn't stop. (it's so hard to not be total despair right now)

That has to be the plan. Big, full of love movies, and F&B web episodes. Because, yes, they love each other way too much to just, like, what, never see each other again.

I kind of want to storm the TNT main offices and flay them for being so redic and unfair, but I'm trying really hard to hold my rage.

And yes, I feel sure that if we could just TALK to the tnt people, possibly for several hours, possibly with powerpoint and pictorial aids, we could make them see how ridiculous they're being and how amazing it would be if they just advertised it properly and gave us more episodes and more open relationship threesome pregnancy occurrences.

And fandom is totally forever. I will always be here if you feel like talking randomly about Breckin's suits, or doing a bit of a rewatch at some point maybe.

We should definitely do a rewatch.

And as Danny said, now canon is closed, they totally belong to us bwhahahaha (not they didn't kind of anyway *g*)

I've been totes hankering for a rewatch. *nods*

I've also been totes hankering for, like, doing some proper fandom resources... timelines, character guides, wardrobe masterposts, listing all the hypotheticals that Peter and Jared have asked each other, a masterpost of all of our fanon ideas... things like that. But idk. Does that seem like a thing to do? (it's like a weird nesting reaction to them being ours. ;) all info about them can't just be out there willy nilly)

OH LISTS! OH. I would really like that. Let's make all those lists. Especially their weird timeline. And every time Peter gives people food. Or there is tragic fic possibility. Or Peter proves that he doesn't care about baseball and that one episode was a weird weird alternate world.

We'll totally make lists of all the odd inconsistencies where they're probably actually alt time lines and stuff. It'll be fab! :D And, yes, definitely of all the time Peter gives people food.

I totally read 'power point' as 'gun point' and was like 'yeah, that might convince them'... But, yes, yes. We could make them understand. I read on one of the facebook posts about F&B that one of the new executives for tnt who just came in used to work at fox and that's why a bunch of stuff got axed (since we all know what fox's mentality about shows is).

We could move onto gun point if, after a few days, they still didn't understand.

I think Kevin Falls also recently left to do something else, although whether that was after he already knew about f&b or not I don't know. So yeah, it was all falling apart. Which is just... how come Breckin's face doesn't hold everything together? It seems very much like it should.

Breckin's face should be able to solve all of the world's problems. I don't understand.

I think the whole of tnt is probably turning into a mess now.

(Also for that bit of time after MPG had tweeted but before Breckin did, which was probably hardly any time but felt like months, I made myself a headcanon that Breckin was not tweeting because he was lying in a ball sobbing and that hopefully MPG would go to him out of worry and he'd find him all small and sad and beautiful and maybe this would be what finally made them realise their love was more than friendship and that maybe their fans were right and they should just kiss a bit. It's a really nice headcanon that makes things just a little bit brighter, I recommend it.)

(it definitely felt like forever, and yes, that's totally what happened. that is the best head canon. and since MPG's tweet was basically 'lose my number' (which made me sad for Breckin) thanks to you I can imagine that it was probably a decoy to throw people off the idea that he had to rush over to check that Breckin was okay and then kiss him for a while.)
