discussion s3 ep 6 Freck
It's that time of week again. ^_^
Once again, no blurb. (Seriously, what's wrong with the press this year? We got nothing but the bloody names of the episodes.)
All the usual spoilers and squeeage below.
Enjoy!

Things I did enjoy though were;
- Peter freaking out that there was blood and Jared being totally awesome and offering to go look in the trunk at potentially a dead body.
- The boys teasing Damien about just about everything and calling him a replicant. I've missed their interactions.
- Pindar being his usual self, searching for health hazards, being protective of his collectables. But seriously, what is up with the one week Carmen, one week Pindar theme we seem to have going? Their scenes together are always great and I miss them :(
- Damien's case and how he genuinely wanted to help. I really think he feels out of place now that Hanna's gone, what with Stanton being on his spiritual trip and Peter and Jared being so wrapped up in their own little world he doesn't really have anybody to talk to that understands him any more. But he came through with a Franklin & Bash-esque move in the end.
- The whole moving/new job thing with Charlie was strange. Usually the women just move away between episodes/seasons but to set it up like this and the recurring theme of marriage/commitment makes me wonder if something will be different this time around.
- Peter totally bailing with Tess. He'd be such a good dad, he should just probably do his research a little better next time. Winnie the Pooh, Peter? Really? And I love that Tess liked Pindar more. He could do with more people interaction, even if they are eight.
Finally, my favouritest thing about the whole episode; Tess asking if Jared was Peter's life partner and NEITHER OF THEM DENYING IT! In fact, not only did they not deny it, they even sort of agreed. And when do these sunset walks happen? I demand to see them, dammit! It's totally unfair to tell us amazingly cute things happen and not show us. *pouts*
I also just wanted to say this feels like it's been the longest week ever. I've been pretty upset over the loss of Cory Monteith and I was really looking forward to the episode since I knew that it would give me the laughs I needed and they delivered. I love this show :)

I know! I want them working as a team. It's like the writer's think having two characters of color on screen at the same time will make the world explode or something.
...but to set it up like this and the recurring theme of marriage/commitment makes me wonder if something will be different this time around.
I've got the creepy vibes off of this too. I know they've got Peter being weird obsessed with being married, but it so wouldn't be good for the show.

I'm kinda ok with Peter getting married (don't hate me), but I see him marrying someone...not Charlie. I don't know. I'm very protective of who Peter dates or whatever. I didn't like that cop chick (she wasn't important enough for me to remember her name), Janie was whatever, and to me Charlie is just meh.
I just realized though that if Peter were to get married, he would probably move out of that house (i was gunna say the cave... *sobs*) and that would be a HELL NO.

This is the thing! Sometimes I'm kind of almost okay with him marrying someone - I mean I just don't think it would last, but he'd get it out of his system at least - but who? I don't think it would work either for Peter or for the show. Because nobody they'ver written so far works, and I don't see how they would make anyone fit into the show when they ALREADY have too many people in their show. The only real person who was okay so far was Ellen with Jared. And that's because she didn't really like Jared - I mean she did, but you know - so she didn't want to take any of their time away from each other, she just wanted him at nights. I could see that working, but otherwise I ... don't know.
But yes, also if they get married they will have to live apart and then they'll just be SAD ALL THE TIME. how is that a plan????

YES! I love that moment too! Ugh.
Also, "we have a wedding to plan." and "if we ever got married"
i'm gone

I have genuinely never felt as loved by a tv show as I feel when they find reasons for Peter to be scared of things. I love that he's scared by blood, and how he doesn't even bother trying to be brave.
NEITHER OF THEM DENYING IT
RIGHT??? Their faces just kind of went 'yeah sort of' and their eyes went 'I LOVE YOU SO MUCH'. Perfectness.
::hugs you:: I'm sorry about Cory Monteith, that's such a horrible shock and it's really hard as a fan, somehow it always leaves me feeling a bit guilty for feeling bad because obviously it's such a removed level, but at the same time it is a genuine sadness.
