Ugh I was totally going to be able to watch tonight and now my sodding bastard stream has totally crapped out on me. I might be able to get it the hour afterwards hopefully, otherwise I'll see you all tomorrowish. Enjoy!

Diner <3333333333333333333333333333333 I MIGHT HAVE DIED. I love Peter saying 'come on boy' and it sort of being to the little dog, but sort of to Jared.

And Pindar/Damien's fist bump was great. And I loved how Jango and Rossi missed their fist bump. And I loved EVERYTHING.

Did Peter want to call his dog Clapton? I think that's a great name for a dog.

I love everything that Damien and Pindar chooses to be. Also, the way Damien ate that camembert. With his fingers. I'd watch an hour of him enjoying cheese.

I can't believe they went the whole trial and no one said anything about how you'd rob a pizza joint because you heard that they have a lot of dough. Come on! Prime groan worthy punnage there.

I love how clearly Breckin's love for Seth came through.

Hannah was brilliant.

Carmen was brilliant.

Why can't they put them together? Have Carmen investigate something for Hanna. Or have them investigate together. Or just walk past each other. I'm not picky.

Or just walk past each other

SERIOUSLY, THOUGH. They let them be near each other about three times in season 1 and they were hot and slashy enough that they totally make sense to me as a pairing. Hanna should totally just demand to be allowed to use Carmen for her cases. Also Hanna should be given cases.

I did not think of the pizza dough punnage, but I am glad someone was thinking of it, and I am OUTRAGED that they didn't.

DAMIEN AND CHEESE. YES. AND PINDAR. YES. OT3.

[identity profile] odannygirl7.livejournal.com 2012-06-20 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
I don't understand this tv show/movie requirement that women can never be in the same room together or do anything together ever. Argh.

I want a whole episode of Hanna and Carmen being awesome.

How did they miss that prime pun target? When Damien asked the cheese guy why he robbed the pizza shop and the guy paused after he said 'I heard they had a lot of...' I actually yelled out 'dough'. And then I'm like 'Breckin, I am so dissapoint in you.' and my father agreed, even though I was being a massive weirdo by talking to the tv.

DAMIEN AND CHEESE. YES. AND PINDAR. YES. OT3.

I never knew Damien could go with something so perfect. And that he will have 12(?) wheels of camembert... that he will obviously just spread all over he bed and sleep with. Because he loves it so much. And Pindar. But Pindar thinks his cheese thing has gone too far. Also, their fist bump. They are a dynamic duo. Damien knows it... even if he wants to be too cool for it.

THEY ARE SO A DYNAMIC DUO. Pindar saying you can't deny there are two of us, and Damien's 'just watch me' was kind of the best thing ever. I LOVE BRECKIN MEYER, he should totally be allowed to write more episodes.

Pindar being an outside person is still a little bit sad, but I know it's not like he didn't go outside in the very first episode and then when he had to go to court for Carmen, so it's not bothering me as much as I thought. And I liked his whole attitude to outside and HE WAS SO SMILEY with the cheese man, SO SMILEY. And with Damien. I LOVE HIS FACE.

Everyone was smiley this episode. Except Peter. I loved Rick Fox, but is he going to come back because I thought all the spoilers promised he'd be a romantic interest for Hanna, and while I approve entirely of people having sex with Cybill, I want to see Hanna kissing people.

[identity profile] odannygirl7.livejournal.com 2012-06-20 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish they could have just eased Pindar outside a bit better. Though I love him and Damien both being complain!pants about the cheese guy's backyard smell. I like that Damien is sort of casually hateful of a lot of things, so him and Pindar go together really well like that. And I think Pindar likes Damien's casual hating.

Everyone had the best faces this ep.

Hanna just needs to make out with everyone. Casually. Just walk up and be like 'Yeah, this is happening. Just relax. You'll love it.'

Oh man, so much flailing. I made a post of love which is here: http://jekesta.livejournal.com/793594.html.

I basically just loved everything. I loved Peter being sad, and I love that they're not allowed motorbikes.

Mostly they went to the diner and that was all I wanted out of the entirety of the universe and life.

I love Cybill Shepherd. Hanna is the most beautiful person I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. Even though I have seen Peter Bash. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. I love that Breckin put Seth in a thing just so he could be mean about his height. You get SO MANY more height jokes when you let Breckin write the episodes:)

Damien and Pindar should just always be together. Eating cheese. Please people write fic for them. We used to have fic for them sometimes and I LOVE THEM. I did not like the bowtie.

JARED PUNCHED PETER IN THE CORE A LITTLE BIT TO SEE IF HIS BOYFRIEND WAS AS GOOD AS HIS ALTERNATE.

JARED PUNCHED PETER IN THE CORE A LITTLE BIT TO SEE IF HIS BOYFRIEND WAS AS GOOD AS HIS ALTERNATE.

And Peter sort of wasn't and it was beautiful!

He wasn't, but Jared still loves him MOSTEST. And they did proper sort of laughing and I wondered if Breckin hadn't told mpg he was going to do it, or if he did it too hard or something and I LOVE THEM.

[identity profile] odannygirl7.livejournal.com 2012-06-20 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It really was almost like Breckin was laughing. Yes. Really, most of the stuff that involved being around Seth seemed more Breckin. Like he just couldn't hold back with his besty around. And he probably totally wanted to show Mark-Paul off. And Mark-Paul ruined it by being a bit of a wuss, but Breckin still loves him.

The second the Diner (it deserves a capital D) came on screen I just went "YES DINER" which confused the rest of the family. A lot. I don't think they'll ever understand that the Diner is all things good in the world.

Also, I really liked Seth being on because Breckin + Seth = Win. Also, partially because Jared finally had a chance to make short jokes. Poor tiny guy.

I GIVE THIS EPISODE A RATING OF PURE AWESOME. IT IS LAW.

I GIVE THIS EPISODE A RATING OF PURE AWESOME.

I ENTIRELY YES.

DINER OF LOVE. SO MUCH LOVE.

A great episode yet again. A few noteable points;

- The motorbikes were awesome but I'm kinda glad they decided against them in the end.

- Jango and Rossi being Franklin & Bash 2.0. Or rather, attempting to be, because they clearly don't yet have the levels of familiarity, domesticity and general bromance that Peter and Jared do. I loved the interaction between Jared and Eric but mainly because interaction between Breckin and Seth is win for me.

- Pindar and Damien's new(ish) bromance. They should definitely work together more often.

- The dog-sitting. They should totally keep Skeletor/Clapton because Peter + Jared + dog was awesome and that little moment as they were leaving Evanthia's and Jared threw the toy at Peter was all kinds of adorable.

- Breckin should be allowed to write all the more episodes. He is crazy good.

And finally...

THE DINER!!!!!! Kinda glad there was nobody else in the house because the squee and dance I did when I saw it were not flattering. I can't believe it's taken us until episode 3 to see it but I'm so so glad it's back. I put this down to Breckin knowing how much we love it and therefore including it in his episode or alternatively, simply wanting them back in the diner himself. I'd take either :)

I love how happy all of fandom is about the diner. It was a proper sort of 'oh they're in the diner, OH MY GOD THEY'RE IN THE DINER' moment for me, because it was so normal and proper for them to be there that it took me a second to remember how worried I'd been about it not existing for a while.

And I sort of put it down to Breckin not having been given the notes saying they were ditching it, and so writing it in. But maybe he just loves us. I agree they should let him write ALL THE EPISODES. Although he's not allowed to put Seth Green in all of them.

I'm glad they didn't keep the bikes. And I'm just going to pretend they keep the dog and mind edit her into future episodes.

I loved how unconfortable was Peter in that chair, where is he supposed to put HIS BIG ARMS??
Ohhhhhh, they're comparing them with the dog, and Jared's face!!

Peter in that chair was one of the BEST THINGS EVER SEEN. ALSO ALL OF PETER. He was so beautiful this episode.

I've been finishing my thesis (IT'S DONE NOW, I HAVE A MASTER'S DEGREE!!!) so I haven't had a chance to watch any of the second season yet. I'm really tempted to just skip the first two and watch this one because I'm SO EXCITED and SO INTERESTED by it, what with the Breckin-writing and SethGreen-starring and hilarious doppelgangers. Will anyone encourage me in my bad tv watching choices and tell me it's okay to just watch this one first? I really want to!

CONGRATULATIONS!:):):):):):):):):) ::DANCES YOU SO HARD::

This goes against every fibre of my being, but you should totally celebrate by watching tv out of order! It's a beautiful episode of love.

[identity profile] rogoblue.livejournal.com 2012-06-20 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I think Damien made up the thing about Trivial Pursuit and gin fizzes. He's on to Franklin and Bash now and can manipulate them on occasion. That makes things a bit more interesting.

And, yes, cheese and motorcycles and the return of the diner. I also liked that the boys are questioning their choices because they ought to be (getting all grown up).:)
jekesta: (bf)

[personal profile] jekesta 2012-06-20 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I think he wasn't making it up because his aunt was Cybill Shepherd, so it's reasonable, and I love the way she looks at him when they meet at the beginning of the ep.

the boys are questioning their choices because they ought to be

YES. I am okay with them being evil IF it is making them sad to be evil and not if they are just going with it because money and parties. Only if it brings angst.

[identity profile] rogoblue.livejournal.com 2012-06-20 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure. Damien gave up the "deep dark family secret" a little too quickly, it seemed. And Cybill didn't react to Jared ordering a gin fizz. Seems like she might've. The Thanksgiving 1999 detail was perfect.

Yes, they need to painfully question their actions. Absolutely!

[personal profile] jekesta 2012-06-20 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true, it was weird how quickly he told them a thing he didn't need to. It looks oddly edited to me. But maybe there was something else odd between them and he made up a less embarrassing lie.

Mostly the whole thing just makes me want to drink Gin Fizz. Although a lot of the world just makes me want to drink gin fizz to be fair.

[identity profile] itsathinline-ff.livejournal.com 2012-06-21 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
SO I LITERALLY JUST FINISHED WATCHING THE EP BECAUSE MY WEEK HAS BEEN CRAZY AND I HONESTLY COULDN'T TELL YOU WHAT EVEN HAPPENED BECAUSE SOMETHING GLORIOUS AND WONDERFUL HAPPENED AT THE END.

THEY WERE AT THE FUCKING DINER. LIKE, IM ALREADY IN CAPSLOCK AND I DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO SHOW YOU HOW HAPPY THAT MADE ME BECAUSE I GENUINELY DID A LITTLE SCREAM OUT LOUD AND I HAD TO PAUSE IT BECAUSE THEY WERE AT THE DINER AND FHDSJIFGUSEDGHFVHFBJDSKHFVCDSHFVCKDNFCSDZVSD

AGHHHHHHHHHH DINER THO
jekesta: (hugging)

::DANCES YOU SO HARD::

I really think that after they had that beautiful conversation where Peter held a dog and worried about being evil he perhaps is just going to make Jared practically live at the diner, maybe he noticed they'd not been there recently and it scared him and he knows the diner is like anti-evil medicine.

THIS EPISODE WAS MADE OF WIN!!!

I had some coherent thoughts too. Not many, but some. I had to put them on my journal though, on account of me needing to quote ALL THE WORDS.

Then I've come over here and all I keep thinking when I read other people's comments is "Yes! I loved that too and I forgot to put it in my post! Damn!". Basically, I loved all of it and could probably have put the entire script into one giant quote. Breckin should so be allowed to write more episodes.

And next week, we get Rock and Daddy Issues! I may be all kinds of excited about that...
