Whiskey Sour Wednesday

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz whiskey
1 1/2 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz sugar syrup
maraschino cherry for garnish

Preparation:
Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled sour glass.
Garnish with the cherry.

So now that we have the alcohol out of the way (I sadly don't have whiskey, but I'll drink hot cacao with crème de menthe later), on to the free for all post!

Unfortunately, [livejournal.com profile] blissfulmuseum had to step down as a mod, and we thank her for her work. Fear not, though, [livejournal.com profile] vic_amy_z has kindly agreed to become our new mod. Let's all say hello to her!

There's still one prompt left unclaimed for our Holiday Ficlet Fest. And how's everyone doing (or not doing since this is supposed to be anon ... which some of us fail at spectacularly not me) with it? Are your characters getting emo when they should cuddle? Do they cuddle when they should have sex? Are you even writing Franklin & Bash or did your muse decide that you desperately need to write a fix-it for Charles/Erik from X-Men: First Class right now?

We're done with our weekly rewatch of the show, which is depressing and we spent a lot of time bemoaning the fact that they only made ten episodes on Sunday. We still will have a weekly rewatch, though, we just didn't agree on what we want to see yet. Suggestions? Ideas? Tell us.

But now that we all have refreshed our memory on what happens in season one, what are your whishes for season two? Personally, I hope for more hugs, more daddy!issues, more naked!everyone and if Ellen and Jared could get it on in some closet or so I'd be a happy camper. Just saying.

dunno about you guys, but when F&B first finished, before I found this community, I was having major withdrawal symptoms and decided I needed a fix... so I watched as many episodes of Saved By The Bell as I could find on youtube, then had a Breckin Meyer movie marathon... (OK, so I only have Clueless, Garfield and Road Trip, but still...)

and I realised, Breckin Meyer is the only celebrity that I thought was cute/hot when I was at school who I still think is cute/hot now... all these years later :-P

anyway, if you were looking for something to watch that will give you some kind of F&B fix those would be an option...

oh, is it just me that finds it amusing that Janie has replaced the bottle blond high school drama icon of the late 80's/early 90's with the bottle blond high school drama icon of the late 90's/early 00's...

I'm amused by a lot of the similarities between MPG and JVDB if i'm honest... and can't help but wonder if they might have played a part in the casting of JVDB as Nathan.

sorry for rambling... I'll be quiet and go back to lurking now.

You're definitely not the only one who went down the 'must watch more of them' route! In fact, [livejournal.com profile] jekesta and I may have watched far more Breckin films than is entirely good for us! And we're going to do a group watch of 'Corporate Affairs' on Sunday, if you want to join us...?

I'd really like to, but I work on sundays :(
it would depend what time I got in... I was trying to find that movie to buy... couldn't find it anywhere :(

I've never had withdrawals for stuff as much as I did for F&B, not in the way that made me just want to eat the entire back catalogue of both Breckin and MPG. Like vic said, that many Breckin films in such a small space of time wasn't the healthiest thing in the world.

If you're looking for more MPG at all, I would really recommend Raising the Bar, he's LOVELY. It's weird because he's not Peter, but then also it's LOVELY. And now I'm watching his years in NYPD blue, and HE IS SO LOVELY. his career is better at being in television than Breckin's is, and therefore lasts longer. When they're both gone I'm just going to cry until eventually we get season 2.

Don't lurk! I mean do, if you want to. But I love people talking about f&b, more than all the other things. Also I love your icon, so you have to not lurk so I get to see it. Yes.

ok, I will try ti be more active in the community, purely for icon viewing reasons. XD
