Dodos and Dragons

(Just to let everyone know, this week's episode for the rewatch is Bro Bono, episode 4. And we're doing the live chat on Sunday again, at 9pm GMT. The discussion post will probably go up on Monday.)

To follow on from these pictures of Jared with unicorns, and Bug's beautiful fic I have made a few Pindar with dodos, and Damien with dragons.

(God, Damien fills a shirt nicely, doesn't he?)

"Huh," said Damien for lack of anything better to say, "I meant to tell you about him."

"Yeah," said Hanna, from her position curled against his side and sounding equally at a loss for words, "Me too."

"Mrack!" chittered Artaxes and batted a lazy paw at a similarly sized sphinx. A sphinx (a Greek sphinx, Classics 201 reminded him) that was most definitely not Damien's and not there the night before.

The sphinx made crooning noise and dodged Artaxes' swipe. She raised up on her back and clapped her paws in a loose grip on either side of his neck, the motion tumbling her forward and half-way over Damien's feet.

"Chchchrrk!" Artaxes chattered happily. He leaned back and wrested out of her hold. He rolled off onto the otherside of Damien's feet and batted back at the sphinx.

The sphinx smiled predatorily with teeth and a teasingly growl and lunged at Artaxes, flinging her whole body weight against him and knocking them both off the bed with a low thump.

Damien winced sympathetically.

"Her name is Esmerelda," said Hanna over the sounds of playful scuffle and mocking chittering resuming. She released a long breath through her nose and wriggled back into a more comfortable position against Damien's chest.

"Ah," said Damien, stroking her hair automatically. "Artaxes."

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

SO. MUCH.

Aww... their mythical creatures are fighting! How is this so fricking adorable?! Thank you for brightening up my morning with more of your awesome crack!fic! ;o)

Strange, I didn't read this as their creatures fighting. Struck me more as foreplay, but that just shows you where my mind was/is.:)))

Hee! Well, in my head it's more playful fighting than angry fighting. More like, "Hello new friend!" but because they are related to Damien and Hanna, they don't know how to be polite. :P

At the risk of self-pimping, have you checked out my unicorn fic? It's predominantly Jared and unicorn, but it's got a couple of decent Damien sections if you're hungry for more dragon snippets. :)

I did indeed read the unicorn fic and was very pleased that Damien got dragons! I hope I commented on it. If not, my bad.

No worries, I couldn't remember if I'd seen your comment either, but I wanted to share the dragon love. :)
