fGLLGlslgllglglslg. Oh. That's just so cute. Damien is lovely around dragons, just beautifully lovely. And the idea of the nights when Hanna stays over and Damien pretending . . . not that he doesn't care about his dragons, but pretending to be a bit casual and grumpy with them, instead of petting them and caring for them like he usually does, which makes them grumpy too, and fussy, and Hanna just smiling at him, and at her sphinxes that are busy posing and not needing attention, and wow I never ended this sentence.

I love the universe of lawyer creatures.

"Oh," said Hanna amusedly, "we have company."

Damien groaned and mumbled something impolite into his pillow. "Just ignore them," he said, turning his head to face her and not even bothering to open his eyes. "They'll go away if you stop giving them attention."

There was a chorus of angry hissing from the dresser and a series of snarls from top of the closet door that begged to disagree.

Hanna stifled a laugh. From her position, she could see Artaxes, Lexandro, Ghidrell, and three others who's name she didn't know.

She leaned over and kissed Damien on the forehead. "I think they're jealous."

"As they should be," muttered Damien sleepily.

Hanna stroked Damien's hair away from his forehead and kissed him again. "I'm not. I don't mind sharing the affection."

Damien opened a single eye curiously, "Oh really, now?"

The bed dipped suddenly with a sharp squeak. Artaxes gave Hanna an impudent look and scuttled across the comforter and into the small space between her and Damien. He thrust his head under Damien's hand so that his snout peeked out through Damien's fingers. Automatically, Damien scratched him.

Hanna shook her head. "Boys," she said teasingly.

From her place on the nightstand, Esmerelda rolled her eyes in agreement.

Do you think canon are ever going to let us see Hanna and Damien kiss? I am remarkably interested in seeing them kiss. Even if it has to be without accompanying mystical beasts.

I have no idea! I can't decide if they consider them over (ex: the whole episode with Pindar helping them out and them platonically working together) or not (ex: the whole kids discussion and the early episodes of jealousy and the whole ALWAYS PARTNERED TOGETHER thing).

I could see it, though. Like, Damien has a lousy day and kinda snaps (best friend dies/turns out to be scumbag; family is in town) or Hanna has a lousy day (family or overworked or whatever) and Damien saves the day and is thus appropriately rewarded while the audience dies from squeeing.... I doubt we'll get a sex scene or anything, but I could see either a friendship kiss or a friendship kiss with strong amounts of longing or a more-than-friendship-kiss and fade to black.

Also, I really, really want to know when they were together before and how long it lasted and why they broke up and adfdlfkdlafkdl!!!!!!!!!

I love the jealousy! I'm slightly sad since someone said that episode 4 was originally episode 2, because I love how jealous Damien is, and it being episode 4 means they sort of haven't got over stuff for quite a bit, and I'm in favour of them not getting over things. But even in the last episode, they're just so IN LOVE when they're near each other, and still seem really close.

I sort of feel like F&B could get them together and not ruin them, as well. Which I don't think is true of much tv. I just want them to sort of accidentally kiss without thinking about it, and then just smile an awful lot.

I'd love to know how long they'd been going out, yes. And if they really did break up just because they were working together. Except they must have been going out while they were working together, because they've not been broken up that long. Maybe Damien did get nervous about them being found out, and was all ambitious about becoming a judge and just made the MASSIVEST MISTAKE OF HIS LIFE and decided to break up with her. OH MY GOD DAMIEN.

I understand why episode 4 could've been episode 2 (so that the audience understood when/why Hanna slept with Jared [or claimed to have to make Damien jealous, but I kinda want her to, because then that gives Damien a reason to be cranky all the time until Hanna promises she'll never do it again and she kinda hates short guys anyways]), but I too like the long simmering jealousy/bitterness. To me it's more like Damien thinks Hanna's being inconsistent, "You said you wanted to get back together and then you slept with THAT ONE?!" and also she betrayed him by sleeping with a member of FnB.

I think in like the first episode, Damien says something like, "Hanna's trying to rekindle something that happened while we were at different firms" or something like that and then in the episode with the kid, Damien says something like, "You know having a kid would never make it work here, right?" which is clearly a lie also, i think shows that they never dated while working at Infeld-Daniels together. I think Damien is a semi-recent recruitment too, bc he was trying to avoid nepotism, so he stayed away from the family firm and then he got the call from the Mama-Creature....

So! I feel like Damien and Hanna dated while at separate firms, broke up because ??? and then they were together in the same place again and Hanna was like, "OHHAI! I missed you!" and Damien was like, "Must...not...compromise...standards...for....love of life..." only bc he's Damien, it didn't quite come out like that....

Also, I too want accidental kissing and I would not entirely be horrified by accidental baby.... They could have a relationship that consists of long looks and kisses on the hand/cheek and I think I might be okay!

You're right, Damien might be quite a recent thing at Infeld's. I just felt like they only broke up recently, and that they had both been settled at the firm for longer. But Damien being new makes more sense of Hanna still being cross with him for having a massive office and being treated like brilliance when he's not as good as her. She'd have sorted that out if he'd been there for longer probably. And I'm sure he says in the pilot that they only broke up because he doesn't approve of dating colleagues - or I suppose because he thought Infeld had a rule against it. (I like that Infeld takes that rule away because he's hired Franklin and Bash so it no longer makes sense.)

In the kid episode, he doesn't say a kid wouldn't work! Does he? If he does that's awful. He says having a kid would never make her ordinary. Which is just love. I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH. Maybe they will make babies.

I really, really like the idea of Damien having his own personal, somewhat "Victorian" set of rules for dating. (Ex: no sex on the first date, no dating in the workplace, no letting the woman pay for the first X amount of dates, etc) It seems like such a classy thing for him to do. Whereas Hanna is like, "Are you kidding me? Hello, 21st century! Feminism, whoo-hoo!" And Damien's all, "I know, just roll with it. I think you're beautiful. Have a rose." And Hanna's also, "Holy crap, you're serious... I feel strangely charmed..."

Yes, just yes, to your whole last paragraph, that is totally how I see them, and it would be a bit infuriating, but afjklsfdjlwkefd, have a rose!!!!:) LOVE.

Their wedding would be so pretty and Damien would be just so happy and unable to hide it even a little bit.

Hanna's pregnant at the moment in NYPD blue and it's making me crazily happy, even though obviously it's not really Hanna and I just have to imagine Damien instead of Baldwin. (Sometimes Mark-Paul Gosselaar talks to her, and I'm shipping them a little bit purely in the belief that it's some alternate universe to Franklin and Bash and they're the only two who have found each other, so they should get married.)

Stop it! That's a dangerous, dangerous fic idea....which sadly cannot be summed up in a couple hundred word fic... Because it would be all angsty and filled with confusion and "why are we here?" and "where are all our friends?" and Hanna is clearly missing Damien and Peter is missing Jared and then they find each other and they realize they maybe are not crazy and thus marriage!

Yes! That's all I can think when I'm watching them, like they must NOTICE that they are connected. And it would be really awkward, because Hanna is having Baldwin's baby and she would have to sort of try to explain to him, and that's impossible to explain, and she wouldn't even know what she meant, just 'I feel like I should be near him'.

I hated that Hanna disappeared for two episodes after this. I was thinking they were going somewhere with this and then she was all jealous again over not being part of Infeld's defense team.

I think the show needs this romance to balance out the bromance.

Right?!!! I was convinced, CON-VINCED that the last episode was going to involve an over the top Damien/Hanna running into the sunset together, because Damien nearly lost his most favorite uncle (who in my world is pretty much his replacement father figure...) and Hanna's like MY LOVE WILL HEAL YOUR BROKEN HEART! *cue sunset, flowers, happiness, etc*

....on the other hand, sadly, this show is called Franklin & Bash and not Karp & Linden...

This. Just perfect... I would so read Damien/Hanna if there were more dragons and sphinxes! Hee...!
