Okay so I thought even while most stuff for this rewatch is going on on tumblr, we could have like informational things over here where they'll survive and be findable.

I'm going to start a timeline, and add information into it whenever we come across it in episodes. I'm keeping it mainly with stuff we find out in this episode, rather than just stuff we know, but I've put in the beginning and the end as well. So so far it looks like this:

???? - Born

???? - Jared (alone or with Peter) goes to Indian Guide Camp.

???? - Jared possibly bets his freshman tuition against the lakers something.

2002 - Jared joins mile high club (alone), over Denver.

2010 - Jared makes them leave town because he thinks there's going to be an earthquake which there isn't.

2010 - (June-ish) Peter and Janie break up.

???? - Janie dates a civil war re-enactor with a soul patch.

2011 - (June) Go to work for INFELD DANIELS.

2014 - (October) They play the worst game of roulette ever.

And these are things that need to go in there somewhere but we don't actually really know where in relation to the things above:

???? - Peter (briefly?) works for a big firm. Or at least gets a job offer there.
???? - Peter has soul patch.
???? - (while dating Janie) Peter rubs her feet, and hires a plane banner, and writes an entire rock opera to the music from rent.
???? - Carmen is arrested.

Sad news that we probably knew was maybe coming.

Franklin and Bash has been cancelled.

There's no bright side to this, but through the tears and over the sounds of our hearts shattering, never to be repaired, I think we can try to remember the good times, the lovely characters they probably didn't realize they were creating, the plot points that we predicted and they gave us, and, of course, the undeniable love between Peter and Jared.

And, with canon closed, I'm pretty sure they legally belong to us now.

Who wants to hug it out?

And while we're on the subject of Tumblr, I'm going to shamelessly plug fuckyeahbreckinmeyer where I'm posting a Breckin a day (until I run out of pictures or forget to schedule more posts) so I'd love it if you felt like following that one too. Hello anyone who still survives on this side of the internet! Here's a discussion post for episode 401, and I still can't believe we're on season 4, that's so weird and so brilliant and so unlikely.

Since it's that time of the year... Some Franklin and Bash Christmas episodes they could have made but didn’t.

It’s A Wonderful Life - Where Jared feels like Peter’s life would have been better without him and Angel Hanna shows him that Peter would have just been boring and heteronormative and that Carmen and Pindar would be stuck with employers who didn’t understand them and that Infeld Daniels whole company is even grey-er and more boring than ever. Could include Jared not not!existing, just never meeting Peter and thus Jared becoming a carbon copy of Leonard.

A Christmas Carol - Damien’s a pouty pants and needs to be shown the error of his ways. Carmen’s Jacob Marley, Hanna’s the ghost of Christmas Past, Pindar’s the ghost of Christmas present, Stanton is the ghost of Christmas future, and Peter and Jared are Bob Cratchet and Tiny Tim. (mostly I just want Jared saying God Bless Us Every One and being small).

A Miracle on 34th Street - Peter and Jared have to defend Santa. With a Jewish judge and that gets awkward sometimes. Trying the whole ‘tons of letters’ thing and having the judge stop them before the first bag even makes it down the isle. Lots of eye rolling but at the end there’s “Christmas magic” and questions about who “Santa" really was.

Anything that would include: Peter dressed as Santa and Jared dressed as an elf. Trying to get Carmen and Pindar to be reindeer and them saying that that would be racist. Tree decorating in super sunny California. Tree decorating anywhere but super sunny California. Damien hating Christmas because his family is terrible. Damien loving Christmas and it weirding everyone out. Hanna. Infeld Daniels Christmas party. Terrible sweaters. Stanton going on about Krampus. Pindar being adverse to trees, tinsel, jingle bells, what have you. Carmen loving dorky Christmas paraphernalia. Peter and Jared ending up under mistletoe and just shrugging and making out.

Perfect Christmas ep for you guys?

Okay, so in case anyone didn't get the memo, I happen to be a tiny bit obsessed with Breckin Meyer. And ever since watching him and Ryan Phillippe in '54', I may also have been a tiny bit obsessed with finding the footage of the two of them kissing, which was cut from the film.

Yes, the quality is TERRIBLE but it's Ryan Phillippe kissing Breckin Meyer so I really don't care. There may have been some dolphin noises made here in the UK when this was unearthed a few nights ago... Enjoy!
