We got two winks from Jared this ep. Which was lovely. (it almost makes me want to ship him and Dan)
Everything about Peter being afraid of ghosts was perfect. (his poor panicked expression when the couple first dropped the ghost bomb) I want him and Jared watching scary movies when they were kids. and when they were teens. and how that worked out. ...okay I want Jared comforting Peter and making him breathe into a paper bag when he starts to hyperventilate and rubbing his back and holding his hand and telling him that everything is okay.
Jared hiding in the refrigerator. Jared being able to fit inside a refrigerator. And either they have absolutely no food or they pulled everything out and stuck it somewhere. (I kinda like the idea that they have no food, but a full stocked beer cooler)
Dan and his giant bowie knife. Getting stabby. Dan and his weird (?) way of eating a grapefruit. Do they have to buy grapefruits just for Dan? Does Peter usually segment them for Dan? Dan getting it with that ghost investigator.
I think we can assume that Damien owns his own robe. SO cute. He, like, really thought about being a judge.
Bonnie! I don't really understand her and Jared making out but I still love her.
Anita! Anita being all vengeful and winning sexiest lawyer of the year. Aww. It felt like maybe there was more of a story between her and the other lawyer, but, like, they either didn't flesh it out or it got cropped for time or something.
No Swatello. She better be there next ep.
Stanton and his mysterious letter and interest in the great beyond.
I love that Peter and Jared are still a bit terrible at acting naturally while being filmed. Stilted and adorable.
There was totally a ghost in that house right? F&B!verse has canon ghosts?
Judge Ernie Hudson. In a ghost episode. Perf.
Cloris Leachman was lovely as the old lady. She's really got that 'stand there and look out of it' thing down.
Probably shouldn't have used gypsy, but it seemed like maybe they tried a little because they also used romani. That whole angle coulda been scrapped tho.
eta:Peter looked really adorable with his hair all floppy after the Jared / Bonnie on the porch scene and Peter was wearing this like hoody zip up thing and it was just really great.
I think it has canonical ghosts now yes. No wonder Peter is terrified of things all the time. It's so beautiful. If it has ghosts it probably has curses and unicorns too. It is the best show ever.
I bet when they were kids Jared never got to enjoy Halloween because he had to just keep Peter safe all the time, or stay in with him probably, and watch really really non scary movies and play cheerful music with all the lights on. Also probably make out with him a bit, just for added calm.
Yeah, gypsy curses wasn't great at all. And like you said, I think they did try a little, and I think some gypsies do still prefer the term gypsy so it gets complicated, but F&B isn't exactly a show that needs to go there, so just scrapping it would have been so much better. (Much as I loved Peter being almost beyond panic about Dan probably being cursed.)
LKSDHOFIjslkd them filming their advert type thing was great yes. Jared being all 'that's right, Peter!' was so beautiful, and doing the big circle for 'round the clock'. I want to see them at home writing it and rehearsing it. And wondering if they should just make out for a while instead and win the gay vote for hottest lawyers.
Peter loves giving people food. I took his offer to segment a grapefruit for Dan as just another fabulous example of how he likes to give people food. Which makes me stupid happy.
There's definitely unicorns around. And maybe Damien's butt dragons are real too! F&B!verse is so magical. There's probably demons and werewolves and everything.
Poor Peter and long suffering Jared. Oh man, Colleen buying bags of candy because Peter won't go out to T-or-T... Jared trying to find the least scary Halloween special on tv (they tried 'It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown' but Peter freaked over anthropomorphic pumpkins and wouldn't carve Jack-o-lanterns that year)... spending their teen years trying to find a scary movie that isn't too scary for Peter (because how are you going to get girls if you can't take them to scary movies and have them hang onto you? girls don't like it when you hang onto your best friend instead), maybe going to a scary movie a bunch of times until Peter can handle it (or at least knows when to close his eyes), which, of course, leads to lots of dark movie theater scared cuddling in the back row for Jared and Peter where Peter's face is pressed into Jared's shoulder, and then his neck, and when Peter tries to look up Jared grabs his face 'Not yet Peter, still pretty scary.' and tilts him away from the screen, sort of leaning Peter in front of him, so that Jared can see what's going on and still look at Peter. But he's not really looking at the screen, and Peter knows it because Jared's face is the only thing he can see in the dark movie theater and Jared's eyes are on him. 'Way too scary... I think we should make sure you don't see any of it.' And then Jared kisses him and Peter closes his eyes even though there isn't anything even remotely scary happening on screen anymore.
I want to see them at home writing it and rehearsing it. And wondering if they should just make out for a while instead and win the gay vote for hottest lawyers.
This is so what happened! At first it was just some hands on stage directing, and then it got really hands on.
Dan being all sleepy in the morning and just mumbling 'grapefruit' as his head rests on the table and Peter slicing up a grapefruit for him and segmenting it and making sure that Dan uses a spoon... domestic food giver Peter is the best.
Oh, you combined sleepiness with Peter's giving people food. That is basically all I want in life. Even though grapefruit is the WORST food there is.
lkasjdhfoijaoidjfsdf the whole scary movie thing yes yes exactly that. They totally did that. And afterwards while the credits are rolling Jared would be like 'I just, I mean that was just to keep you quiet' and Peter looks at him funny because he knows he wasn't making any noise, and Jared looks away and then they're quiet for a minute before Peter touches his arm and asks if he wants to stay for the next screening.
We need more domestic Franklin and Bash, full of sleepyness and feeding and everything like that. They tempt us but don't ever give quite enough.
Their teenage love is so amazing and sweet. And how they don't really even talk about what happened just sort of go along with it happening again. It's so perfect.
