What'd ya think of season 3? Would you change it? How much fic fodder didja get out of it?
Anything else you wanna say regarding it? Besides our usual divergence of silly in other posts before we start doing the usual fun of writing fanfic to keep ourselves sane. *grin*

I know we've probably covered everything in other posts, especially about the bits that made just no sense. But at the same time I liked this season so much, far more than season 2, I think in a lot of Peter and Jared centric ways it was basically awesome. Despite making no sense and getting us nowhere. (I know it's not the show to love if you want character development and meaningful arcs, it's just weird watching it and seeing the things they quietly miss.)

Peter and Jared did totally need not to be rich equity partners who were being untrue to their roots, that was just killing me in season 2. And having Rachel in charge of them did help with that and I really liked that she put up a wall, and that there was always the chance she might get them sent to prison for breaking probation.

I hate losing the cave, but moving to the beach was kind of lovely in the end. Not just because of the wet suits and the painted nails but I like that they all moved as a family, and it did lighten everything up a lot and . . . I liked the colours more this season than last, and the clothes and the general look. I don't know if that's real or just my imagination.

I like that they shot peter in the face, and that Ellen made Jared do things, and Peter's mom was amazing and Cybill wasn't in it but her dog was and they took sunset walks along the beach, and Jared touched Peter's thigh a lot, and put on a pink jumper, and possibly sabotaged his dates with Charlie.

Although there wasn't enough of them and it was really sad only having one at a time, I think they used Carmen and Pindar better this season than last. I found Pindar's storyline annoying last season, I like him more as a minor character who stays inside a lot and I really liked his thing with Rob Lowe/Rob Lowe's couch. There's a real chance they'll both be leaving next year, and I have literally no idea how that will even work so I have to not think about it.

Nearly everyone else was badly done this season, and made no sense. Luckily I care more about the cave people than other people. I don't know how Rachel OR Charlie were supposed to make sense, I can kind of at least see what they were trying to do with Damien but in the end it didn't really work for me, and I don't even know what Infeld was doing although it was still nice when he showed up.

But yes, for all that when I try to explain this season all I can say is how oh my god it made NO SENSE, I loved it more than anything. And they should make a season 4, it doesn't have to make sense, I dont' care.
