Note: Came about because of a comment misslola89 made in the 'Freck' discussion thread.

I was thinking today, as sweet as it would be to see a Peter/Jared wedding, how awesome would it be if the case or whatever caused it had already happened and they've been married this whole time? Then we could have Peter wanting to get it annulled because he wants to marry Charlie or whatever, and Jared coming up with different ways to delay it.


And as always, thank you to vic_amy_z for wrestling my commas. She really loves me almost as much as chocolate...


"I want an annulment."

Peter's eating toast and drinking juice at the same time. Walking 'round the counter, he stacks up the papers for the deposition they've got this afternoon.

Jared doesn't choke on his own toast, but it's a close call.

"What?"

"An annulment, Jared. A dissolution of our partnership. We no longer need to be Mr and Mr Franklin-Bash."

Oh god, it would be so beautiful, right? Jared just going out every night and trying to lose himself in other men who are only using him for sex, coming home dirty and bruised, in the vain hope that Peter will notice he's falling apart, until one night he ends up with someone who gets off on hurting him and Jared can't even bring himself to stop it, but somehow Peter finds him and saves him, and oh god why do I suck so hard at writing angst...?!

You don't suck at writing angst, you wrote beautiful boarding school angst that was truly delicious. And if you feel like you suck at writing angst even though you clearly don't suck at it, then this is a great perfect time for you to practise and improve, everyone wins. You can write teh whole thing in tiny text if that helps.
