Season 2 ep 2 reaction post

20 or so minutes to ep 2, ladies (and any gents out there too!).

Our quick synopsis: Jared and Peter try their first manslaughter case when they defend a wannabe crime fighter (Sean Astin) accused of chasing down a man who later died. Meanwhile, Peter's mom (Jane Seymour) arrives with some news that results in a change of living arrangements for her son. And Pindar seeks Carmen's help in battling his phobias.

Sean Astin and Mama Bash. :D How much more fun can you get.

I won't be here for the live reactions tonight. But i'll be around to catch the repeat or else the download. Whatever i see or get my greedy little paws on first.

Okay so... XD

Bullet points!

-Peter's mom. Everything that Jane Seymour did was gold.

-Damien and Peter's mom. Everything from how he seemed even more into her as soon as he learns that she's Peter's mom to the couch scene, which was just amazing.

-Jared and Peter's mom. Jared totally has an odepidial thing going on with her. Head canon is that he used to go over to Peter's house when they were kids because Jared's mom was never really "there" for him, but Colleen would shower him with affection, let him join in during brownie making time, tell him he was growing into such a fine young man, etc... and then as Jared got older he realized that Colleen was pretty hot and... confusing feelings followed. (and stayed with him til today)

-Peter backstory of being pigeon toed, wetting the bed until age 11, and being breast fed until age 8. Poor Peter. Also, divorced (or maybe never even married?) parents. Did we know that or was it just fanon? I wonder if Peter had two homes? Maybe his mom was on the good side of the tracks and that's how he met Jared? But then he spent most of HS with his father on the other side of town?

-Jared is totally turning into a hard ass lawyer and Peter knows it "You're going to break his heart, aren't you?" It still hurts Jared to do this... Peter, you have time to save him before he's lost completely!

-Janie! Yay! But boo to her not getting married anymore. Is it because her demon-ness got sucked out?

-I don't know what's up with Pindar's story line. I think I'm offended by it...?

-Needed more Carmen and Hanna. Per usual.

-OMG. Next week. Why isn't it Tuesday again?

Pindar's storyline is a bit rubbish yes, I couldn't be bothered to care, but it seems pointless as much as everything else.

And yes, oh god there are so many possibilities for Peter's dad, I wonder if he was all hippy-ey as well.

I love PEter's bracelet, that's not really to do with anything but I DO.

And I bet Jared had the MOST BEAUTIFUL teenage issues of fancying Colleen EVER and it is something Peter is vaguely aware of and they just DO NOT SPEAK OF, and I love them together I LOVE THEM.

I sort of want to see Colleen near Leonard and just HATING him now too.

Well, we know that he may have installed drywall. I wonder if his dad and mom were total opposites. Like he was this straight lined blue collar working man's man. And Peter doesn't want to be like either one of them. He kinda wants to be like Leonard, even if he'd never tell Jared that.

I so want Colleen and Leonard to interact. She'd probably have such stern faces with him. About how children should be raised.

I need to pay more attention to Peter's bracelet. Yes.

And I bet Jared had the MOST BEAUTIFUL teenage issues of fancying Colleen EVER...

And once Jared tried to casually bring up how totally hot Coleen was and Peter just scrunched up his face 'Dude... that's my mom.' and Jared never brought it up again, but Peter can tell he's thinking about it and they have eye conversations that basically amount ':( my mother, Jared.' and 'I know, but come on Peter, look at her'.

Ah, I had totally forgotten that! Yes. Oh, that's quite brilliant, if he was not hippyey, and Peter was sort of pulled between them a bit, and came out all free love like his mom, but able to fix things like his dad. I want Peter being randomly good at plumbing and putting up shelves and making Jared sort of laugh at him and sort of just all 'TOUCH ME RIGHT NOW' about it.

Yes:):):):):):) Because Peter got his comfortable with nakedness STRAIGHT from his mother, so there's no way she bothered to cover up around Jared, not after they'd known him for years and he was basically like another son, and Peter had to have teenage strops at her about how she was ruining his life, that boiled down to 'PLEASE, IT MAKES HIM BLUSH AND I CANNOT COPE WITH HIM LOOKING AT YOU, HE IS ONLY ALLOWED TO LOOK AT ME' except in teenage language that was probably like 'YOU ARE RUINING MY LIFE STOP IT I HATE YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU STAND FOR'.

Ugh. I so need Peter to just... completely handle a busted water pipe, or spout off some randomness about how to properly hang pictures. Maybe something about finding studs. And Jared to get saucy looks on his face every time. And also to not know the difference between different wrenches.
