There will be no dying, neither of them are allowed to die. Despite the inherent tragedy of Jared I can't cope if he's allowed to die, or allowed to live if Peter dies. They both just have to live forever, with whatever heartbreak and disaster and angst that is drawn to them. Just so long as they're alive.
